  1. I think it's worth it just for the KORG Prophecy and the ARP Odyssey! These sound awesome! But they are all good! Who better to make emulations of the hardware than the original manufacturer? And with the Tritons included, no longer have any interest in the Roland Cloud and their classic romplers...
  2. I think with IK Syntronik, Arturia V Collection, and Korg Collection 3, I've got the vintage synths covered! Syntronik plays back samples of the output from the actual hardware unit. Which could be handy to have in cases where your other emulations don't exactly sound like the originals. You might find the vintage sound that you are looking for.
  3. I'm in when it gets to 10 freebies...
  4. That's the route I took, as I already had a KORG nano controller with the M1 Le. It's the best deal offered to new users when KORG are running a sale! Upgrade the free M1 Le! So that way you are looking at the entire KORG Collection 3 for $149.
  5. If you already have Reaper, the update available download prompt usually launches when you run Reaper. Clicking on that takes you to the download page.
  6. That's the thing with a lot of these dedicated so called "organic", "cinematic", & "atmospheric" libraries. Anyone with a few sample libraries, synths, and effects could make these sounds with a little effort. They are just capitalizing on the "gee-whiz" of a pretty interface, and little to no workflow involved. Bless their little hearts!
  7. That's nothing to brag about. Brian May was 180.
  8. @Music Software Deals Here > https://www.thomannmusic.com/hotdeals_GF_software.html Tip: if there is a "Show More" button at the bottom of a category list, you need to keep clicking them until the full list is shown. The Virtual Instruments and Audio Effects categories seem to have the longest lists.
  9. Synapse Audio seems to be missing from the manufacturers list. They sell direct, as well as through Thomann Music, which also is missing from the stores list. https://www.thomannmusic.com/synapse_audio_the_legend.htm
  10. EZBass 2? No mention of that on Toontrack's site ... https://www.toontrack.com/product/ezbass/
  11. Yes, you can use them! But they remain as v1 presets, that cannot be accessed via the new v2 editor. But the song remains the same! Only v2 presets can take full advantage of the improved sound design features in the v2 GUI.
  12. I think that I am headed towards prioritizing the installation of samples for real world sounds that are not yet effectively synthesized, or modeled. Disk space is an issue if everything that you have is sampled... Just saying... On the upside, some of the Syntronik synths sound very good! So that's why I still have Syntronik Deluxe installed.
  13. The executors of your estate are going to have a field day! ?
  14. I believe that I could live with just 3 of the new synths for a total of $34.99, and call it a day...
  15. I think that is a fair question. I have the full Syntronik 1 Deluxe, and now own two Syntronik 2 instruments (V-80 & J-60) which are also included as v1 editions in my Syntronik 1 collection. So when I browse these two instruments in Syntronik 2 CS, I am able to select for Syntronik 2 presets only. The list of v2 presets for them seems a bit skimpy to me... only 38 v2 presets for the V-80, and 40 v2 presets for the J-60. Now I am wondering if only the 11 NEW instruments have entirely all v2 presets... ?
  16. I'll wait on the $29 deal!
  17. I could see grabbing a few of them, particularly the Oberheim Matrix-12, the Korg DW-8000, and the Waldorf Microwave I got the Syntronik 2 V-80 (Yamaha CS-80) and the Syntronik 2 J-60 (Roland Juno 60) for free, and they sound great! The J-60 is available for free from Computer Music #307, May 2022. The Syntronik 2 V-80 was a freebie for 2 weeks, earlier this year at Audio Plugin Deals (expired).
  18. I think it is fairly clear now that AIR has no intention of ever updating their "legacy" synths. Buy them "as-is" if you want to. The new line of synths seem to have scraped a few bits from the older synths, using a new synth engine and interfaces.
