I was on the waiting list for a Morph at a reseller for months. No luck! Still hoping for an affordable MPE controller.

You could probably test your theory by ensuring that your Syntronik 2 library content path is exclusively pointed only to a dedicated Syntronik 2 folder, and no reference is made to the SampleTank 3 path. If everything works as expected, I see no reason that you couldn't just use the delete key on the SampleTank 3 folders that Syntronik 1 is living in. But YMMV. Not responsible if it blows up, LOL!!!

One thing to keep in mind. Syntronik is technically not mutitimbral, unlike some synths such as KORG Triton with its Combis. The four instrument parts are all on the same MIDI channel, so it still lets you layer and split by key ranges to effectively create the sound layers.

Unfortunately the legacy AIR synths haven't seen any new development in years. The 2021 updates were "Performance enhancements for Windows 10". I suspect that was just an installer fix that for a bug that had hosed up Pace iLok on Windows 10. Plugin Boutique pulled the installers for many of the synths until that was fixed.

Do you have SampleTank 4? Those might be SampleTank multis...

Files with "*.st3m" are Syntronik 1 or SampleTank 3 based multis. They will load in the current products, but are not the latest versions.

We should, because then they will all work. But it's up to IK to make them available to the GB participants. They are not part of the CS package. Peter's on the task already...

That was my first reaction! But after I calmed down and gave it some thought, I realized why it needs to be that way. You see, the factory multis can and do use any synth and preset in the collection. So they are basically useless unless you have all of the synths and presets at your disposal. Otherwise, you are likely to get one of those annoying pop-up errors when you load a multi, such as "synth preset x cannot be found in path x ... blah blah ". So for example anyone using the CS or SE editions would be perplexed by these errors when loading the multis due to the missing factory presets. Edit: after another minute of thought, this occurred to me. That the factory multis would only be fully effective if you have installed ALL of the Syntronik 2 synths.

Yes, it has a surprising number of bread and butter instrument sounds, beyond synth noises. Quite useful as a rompler for setting up placeholder sounds.

Loom II and Vacuum Pro are excellent sound machines. Both also have interesting patch "randomizing" features. Hybrid is capable of making some great moving sounds, with it's dual layers (parts A & B), containing 3 oscillators, dual modulation envelopes, dual filters, and a step sequencer per part. It's really a shame that AIR chose not to update the GUI on these, because they all have very good synth engines under the hood.

Every time there is an IK Group Buy, things get fired up both here at the Deals Forum and over at KVR. But then it dies down after the sale. Last Group Buy there was an unofficial contest to see which forum would generate the most thread pages. We were ahead until some comments got out of hand and a mod locked the thread here. There's generally not much meaningful collaboration happening at KVR. But some developers use it as a support forum, and other marketers use it to announce new products or updates. Users delight in venting and slinging arrows at other users. I would suggest wearing your thick skin suit if you choose to wade into those dark waters. ?
