Is your keyboard working at all in Cakewalk?
Is your keyboard assigned to the MIDI input of your track?
Is the input echo enabled on your track?
Ober works great here!

I may have to demo this Novum thingy! There is a rather long, and enthusiastic thread over at VI-Control containing a discussion with the developer, Peter V of Dawesome.

I'm not sure WHEN they added it, but I didn't have MP4 when N3+ was released, and they let me upgrade to N3+ for free. I'm thinking it may have been a free update for MP4 and Nectar3 owners. (? )
It was included when I got it. But I was a late adopter, so it was likely already added. All current online references that still list the features for 4.0 include Nectar 3 Plus.

Plus the plus in Nectar 3 Plus plus.
I'm pretty, pretty sure that Nectar3 Plus was already included in MPS 4.0.

Starting a new piano roll question instead of hijacking the other one....
I want to halve the tempo but double the note duration all the MIDi notes. That is, I started (and finished) constructing the song using 1/4 and 1/8 notes using a very fast tempo but I should have used 1/8 and 1/16 notes at half the tempo. The time duration of the notes will be the same. The song will play back the same either way but, logically, it should be updated to the new tempo. What is the easiest way to do that?
Thx!
Interesting question. Sounds like a job for a CAL script. I have nothing specific in mind, but perhaps somebody has one?

You are right!
I had missed that the main difference between MPS 4 > 5 upgrade and the Everything Bundle upgrade is that you need to already own Post Production Suite, RX 9 Advanced, or the Everything Bundle in order to upgrade to Everything for the sale price.
I have most of that already in MPS 4.1, but only have RX 9 Standard, which doesn't qualify me for the Everything upgrade.

Slightly OT but I've yet to understand what the difference was between MPS4 and MPS4.1, it seemed to me that back when I compared the MPS4.1 component list to what I owned at the time I already had all those MPS4.1 components installed. I probably just missed some (maybe insignificant) detail.
MPS 4 to MPS 4.1 included this:
- RX 9 Standard (upgrade from RX 8 Standard)
- Melodyne 5 essential
- Groove 3 (1 Year pass)
- NIMBUS (extra license #)
- R4 (extra license #)

This looks interesting!
How big is the download?

Any reported issues with Multis should have been fixed as I've been told.
This is actually not an issue with any specific multis. Unfortunately it is a bug in Syntronik 2. Only the first instrument slot responds to aftertouch. Confirmed with the latest Syntronik 2 update.
If you create the same layers in SampleTank 4 with Syntronik 2 instruments, the aftertouch works with any slot.
Not a showstopper for me, but just fyi...

The ones I had in mind might be buried because of the proliferation of sites related to DAW-based PRV that weren't on the internet 10-12 years ago. Not sure I bookmarked the ones I looked at back then. Who knew they would become buried.
I have found that to be an issue with other search terms that are related to more a modern context. Search engine optimization... SMH.

Tried the demo and decided that I don't want the hassle of modular.
Modular is not really a hassle. It's an open ended world for sound design, if that's your thing.
I first checked out Softube Modular, VCV Rack, & Voltage Modular, then decided that the price point for Voltage was the ticket for me. The Core package comes with tons of modules and presets, so no need to spend another dime until you exhaust the included possibilities. Then there are some inexpensive add-on bundles to expand your imagination with!

are the Windows binaries not signed at all?
I've often wondered about that on Window 10. I get an alert when non-signed binaries are used, and IK always triggers that. But the good news is that they pass the Virus Total scan...

It's probably fine for someone that just wants to check out modular in an easy to use package. Without the risk of entering a money pit! ?

**UPDATE: HOLY CRAPPOLA!!! I haven't looked up "How to convert piano rolls to MIDI" in quite a while and the internet now seems to have become overrun with webpages about DAW-based piano rolls. It is hard to find the sites I had in mind. There used to be a number of excellent sites, including details on how people have built piano roll conversion hardware.
Here's one example...

I think this was discussed in u-he's subforum at KVR, but I don't have time to search through it all.
I think that the best way to learn the full intent behind this new plugin format is to follow the developer's discussion on KVR. Urs Heckmann of u-he is a very clever fellow, so he has probably already thought of all the issues raised here. I am not as smart as Urs, so I doubt that I can beat him at that game!

That's a good catch. I didn't see that. You gotta have the mic!!! (actually you don't need that mic, but you do need a compatible mic!!)
I grabbed the Behringer ECM8000 Measurement Condenser Microphone for $29, to go with the ARC software I got in the last group buy...

Never got caught. This was back in the 90's when the big brother boss monitoring probably hadn't fully caught up yet! ?

SONAR Synths
in Instruments & Effects
Posted · Edited by abacab
Run the legacy Cakewalk Command Center.
All of your SONAR Platinum software components are available to be downloaded and installed from there. No SN or auth codes required. The CCC will handle the activations for you. Ensure that you have the Cakewalk by BandLab plugin scan path set to where you have the synths installed.
