No, the limits are back on again. I reached my limit shortly after it came back on. I wanted to give a thanks to Peter and couldn't. And wanted to like your post just now and couldn't. Agree about it being ridiculous.
-
Yeah, I have been told many times to "shut up and go sit in the corner!!" ?
-
Ah.. it let me add a Laugh emoti to your post mibby!!!
-
Never realized there was a limit. What da....

I have all my sounds still too. But somewhere I lost track of where I kept them, and I had to cough up for the d/l fee to d/l them again. Then when I went through all my bkup drives I noticed I had redundants!! I still have my zip files, and have them all bkup on different drives. Mostly because I don't want to have to sit through all the damn d/l again!!! : ) And now that I have cleaned up all my bkup drives, and have it all organized, IK will come out with a d/l and install program with unlimited d/l of all the files!! Yep, just my luck. : )
-
Yes that's my plan too. I have all my ST 2, 3, & 4 sounds in different folders all on the same drive. When I get some time gonna see if I can eliminate that ST2 folder.

KUSH Audio, with a 4/20 sale? I don't get it? : )

I have a program that's called Directory Opus. It has a feature that finds dup files and it works pretty good. After years of holding on to a lot of IK stuff just because I didn't know which was a copy or the latest, when I was installing all this stuff on the new PC I took the time to sort through all the BS and got it sorted out. I had a LOTS of dups!! As far as the ST2 sounds, the trick is to get them into ST3 before you try and bring them into ST4. Not sure, but I think that's how they recommend doing it. And once you get it in ST4, I think you can delete the old ST2 sound. I do think they get imported into ST3 or 4. Not sure.
-
That's the PITA part. Having to attend to the damn d/l of all that. Then wait till it comes to installing it all. Same BS, you will have to sit there and click through each sound part like eight or nine times. And it gets worse with ST4MAX. I mean I really love all the sounds, they are really good. But I went to the IK website and told them they have to get some type of Down Load/Installer for all that stuff. I spent hours d/l and installing all my MAX products. But like I said before, I got all my sounds from ST 2 - ST4MAX. All the Sonicsynth, SampleMoog, SampleTron, and all my XpansionTank sounds. edit: Forgot to add that @Peter - IK Multimedia said they working on something. Fingers crossed!

You got a new bass player?
-
Yep, been hoping for something like this for years. This looks great. I think they gonna want an arm and a leg for it too. Audio to midi conversion? They won't just give that away. I am thinking in the $300 price range. I think when EZD came out for the first time it was around $189 IIRC. Wonder when they will come out with the Alembic bass exp pack!!
-
I grabed it too. Looks like he even wrote a manual for it!!
-
I just took a look, along with all the stuff I mentioned in my previous post, you also get three great pianos, Alan Parsons, Brandenburg Piano, Art Deco Piano, Neil Pert Drums, Terry Bozzio Drums, plus 12 Electronic Music packs! That is all in addition to the sounds that comes with ST3.

Biggest critic of IK around here is Larry himself. And you can see he's buying it. That ought to tell you something right there. And just to be sure I am clear, I respect Larry and his opinion. He has led me to some of the best deals I have ever got. And I am by no means alone in this opinion. Others here will back me up if you ask them. We call him the King around here! So he knows what he's talking about. : ) Now that that is out of the way. Sample Tank 3 is what you get with this. And also you can get ST4 CS which gives you the UI and engine of ST 4 to use all of your ST3 sounds with. Not a bad deal at all. There are not hardly any third party sounds that have come out (but that may change in the future) for ST3 or 4. So Kontakt has them beat there. But sound quality is up there with the best of any of them. And the sheer volume you get with this deal is really staggering. You get a lots of ST3 stuff, Syntronic stuff, and Miroslav stuff too! Throw in Modo bass and it's a no-brainer. But wait there is more!! Amplitube and T-Racks also comes with this!! Is this a great deal? It's a no-brainer!! Unless you have a serious beef with IK. And I can understand that. That's your choice. But to say it ain't a good deal?? Come on! Who you trying to fool!! edit: Just so I am clear, @Craig Fowler I am in agreement with you on it's a good deal.

Well... after reading this entire thread, I now realize that I didn't pick the wrong plugin twice!! I bought Union and all the sound packs along with the MSW2. But when I checked out a second time with a new set of five plugins, I found that I got another MSW2! But I thought I picked something else. Oh well. I sent in a support ticket. Trying too see if I can swap it for another plugin.

Wondering about the mic also as I have the one with the orange ring on the bottom too. Upgrade from 2.5 to 3 for $49 is a really decent upgrade price for loyal previous owners!! Thanks @Peter - IK Multimedia! You must have finally gotten through to them!! ????
-
To be honest, it's almost a PITA to install all this!! I just did it because I built a new machine and had to reinstall everything. Yes you can install only what you want. Yes they all have their own serial numbers. But can you sell individual plugins from the deal? I am not sure about that. Lee, for a new user it's a fantastic deal. You won't get a better bang for buck period. I got in on a deal like this years ago. I was smiling ear to ear because of all the stuff I got for $99. And here was larry b'chn about this and that, this that, on and on. I was like give it a rest man!! But then as the years wore on, and I invested more money into IK's pockets, my upgrade paths didn't look as good as they did when I first got into this. Now I understand. IK has the most insane upgrade path for loyal users I have ever seen. But to their credit, remember all the stuff that I bought way back in the day that started me on this road? I can still use it today. I can still d/l the program. Most of it is still useable. And their stuff sounds great. I mean if you get this stuff, you getting some of the best out there. Make no mistake about it. A lot of the stuff in T-Racks is some of the best out there. ST3 may not be their latest and greatest, but it is a great product. And that's what makes this such a ..... what word am I looking for Larry? : )
-
Oh, so you did look!! I looked at some of those offers and was.... YGTBK!!!
-
@Bapu wondering what kind of crossgrade offers they are making for you. Have you looked? It might surprise you what they are asking for stuff you already got!!!
-
He got that too!!
-
I have RockRack and all any of the amps have is a Gain and Volume and tone controls.
-
I agree with you Soundwise. I am just pointing out they are calling it 'Amps' as you can see in the manual. I read the whole thing, it's only a few pages, and nothing was said about power amp emulation, control, or anything to that effect.
-
Larry, I already own TSM 2. So I went to the IK site to see what it was all about. I found out that I can get Total Studio Deluxe (which is a down grade) on a crossgrade offer for $400!! @Peter - IK Multimedia Doesn't anyone with IK ever look at this stupid stuff? This makes no sense at all. I have ST4 Max, Amplitube Max, and T-Racks Max, yet on my "Upgrade Offers" page they are offering me to purchase these products as a crossgrade for $300!!!
