  1. Me either. But I have been around long enough to remember the 8.5 crew!! : ) Starship Krupa makes some valid points. With all the updates, to some it may not seem like a big deal, but from where Sonar was to where CbB is today is like night and day to me and my workflow. If nothing else the major reworking and getting it right with Take Lanes was like a dream come true for me! I could live with just that update to an existing feature. But it's not the only one. I have no idea what they devs have in store for the upcoming months, but I will bet it will be a useful new feature, or a much improved existing feature!!
  2. And a good deal!
  3. This is a good deal. All these plugins are really top notch. For someone on a budget and new to the world of plugins, this would be a great starter pack. And you get Cosmos and Magnetic II! Wow! Those two plugins are a good deal for the asking price!
  4. Good catch!! And thanks for posting before he fixed it!!! I got a good laugh out of that!!
  5. It's weird like that!!
  6. Regular price $349!!? I wasn't far off. I said $500

@Peter - IK Multimedia That guy is a beast!!
  8. Maybe I can help out and do the same. I have a VS100. Great little unit that I really love.
  9. Much better than the VS. At least they will support the Apollo for a long time to come. The poor VS just... didn't have a real chance.
  10. Very nice gesture.
  11. I was thinking of the BF sales as THE best way. But was wondering if there was some kind of walk around like TTF was talking about. For the price I may get this and then wait. Been reluctant to get this because there is always something on sale/new/gotta have for Kontakt! I figured I would make myself stick with IK ST stuff. I still might do that.
  12. What's the best/cheapest way to get Kontakt full? They want $400 for it on the NI website.
  13. @kitekrazy I have often thought what my family will do with all these damn plugins I bought!! There is just a handful I consistently use over and over, EZ Drummer and Keys, Jamstix, Abbey Road Plates, C1, stuff like that. But do I regularly use all of them? There's no way I could. : )
  14. I do have several Behringer comps and my old ART SX mounted in those rack legs if you know what I mean. But right now I don't have them hooked up. I may not hook them back up. Depends on how I figure out the way my work flow will go with the new Apollo. Speaking of organization... I swore I would not let my studio degenerate into the state that I find it in today. I got to get it back in order!
  15. Have you tried Melda's free plugin MConvolutionEZ ? They also have one with a few more features called Convolution MB that's on sale right now for $27. And then they have their top of the line convolution plugin called MCabinet. It's $107 right now, but if wait for a sale you can get it cheaper.
  16. I don't know why he quit selling that. Just don't make sense.
  17. Me too.
  18. I can tell you, that I would have never bought that plugin myself. It came with the used Apollo I got. But after playing it, that's one little bad ***** amp sim! Lots of tone out of that one amp.
  19. I picked up a used Apollo Twin USB with a really good amount of plugins with it for a really decent price. It was like brand new! Still had the plastic protective covers all over it. : )

They gonna want $500 for it. But "You can get it for $x in the Mega Bundle!"
  21. LOL!! But I did! I had some PA plugins in my cart trying to use my $50 voucher. And it still was going to cost me over $40. So I looked at the plugins and said maybe I could do better with the $25 survey voucher. That didn't work out either. They really ain't got anything I really want anymore. Now I used those two attempted purchases as my reasoning for my "holding off comment" for EZ Bass. But since it's just PA stuff, not sure that really counts!! : )
  22. I missed this. I have all the original RedWirez IR and mixIR2. Also have ReCab 5. Use both and never really bothered with any other IR. Except Melda's ne Cab IR plugin. Anyway, going to check out RedWirez new stuff. Good people over there.
  23. What sold me for UA (because like you @jesse g I stayed away too!) was the Unison Technology. I knew what it was suppose to be, but until I got it and started using it, I really didn't understand the length that they went to to get it right. Example, I can plug my guitar into the Apollo and it knows it's a high impedance instrument, and then it automatically sets the input impedance to match the amp sim that I am using! And I get the same gain staging in the amp sim that the real amp has. And that works! It really feels and reacts like a amp. Now take this same interface, plug a mic into it, load a console strip plugin, and presto... now the impedance has changed to match that console sim! Along with it's own unique gain staging. I haven't tried the console strips as much as that Fender amp, but if it works the same (as I expect it will) I'm gonna love this thing!!
  24. Just really getting into my Apollo Twin recently since I finished my new build. I really am surprised at how good these plugins sound. Been playing with the 55 Fender Deluxe. Man that thing is sweet!! With the Unison Technology, my Les Paul plugged into the Apollo... one of the best amp sims I have ever played!! Agreed Zo about the 10 bundle. But also agree with Craig! Man if the ol lady found out I spent $1k on plugins.... I might not be posting anymore!!
  25. Yeah I saw that!!
