  1. @Carlos Iglesiashow did you go from 4A to 5E? I got lost....
  2. I have not bought the WUP plan yet. I won't say never, because.... But Brian, I was using v9 plugins before I got Mercury, which brought me to v10. But The v9 plugins should work. Did you run the version organizer in the new WC? You might want to try uninstalling all Waves plugins then reinstalling and run the version organizer in WC.
  3. I will, and haven't had a problem with them yet. Well way back when I was using v9 there was a Sonar thing... but that got worked out by Waves and Cakewalk working together. : 0
  4. I think to split to multiband is really nice!! Makes a multi band out of all Waves plugins! Also I like the Macro buttons. Yoiu assign them in Studio Rack to the plugin you want, then in CbB you can automate that macro. Makes it really easy! Nice freebie!
  5. I would contact support. They would want to know about this. WC should not update you to a version of a plugin you have no licenses for.
  6. Even though you don't have Mercury Wup'd, I believe that you will still get updates to certain plugins that are for that version. IOW, updates for v9 and v10. However, if your not WUP'd then you won't get the newest features or any v11 plugins. From my understanding, they are still updating the older plugins to keep them working with the new stuff they have out. Lets say you have SOC, but it's version 10. and you also have some newer Waves plugins that you want to run inside SOC, in that situation the old version of SOC would need to know what the new plugin is/does/ect. You can say what you want about WUP. Wup if you want, don't if you don't. I have never WUP'd. But the bottom line is Waves has got some top quality plugins that you can get cheap. And they work and keep working. @rasure So if you are getting updates, take 'em!! I am not understanding why you think that will change your license?
  7. This has always been what I thought and experienced too. If you upgrade a version, you can't use the product you upgraded from anymore. How ever, if you got a Essential version with say Sonar and Studio One, and you upgraded the version from Sonar, would you still be able to run the new updated product along with the Essential version that you still have on the same computer? That I don't know.
  8. Did anyone notice that the install of this EA release deletes the CbB icon in the start menu? Also it won't allow me to put it back. I go to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core and right click on the Cakewalk.exe and select "Pin To Start" but nothing happens.
  9. What was the tempo bug?
  10. Me too. I keep seeing people saying something about 1.0.3 but I have never seen it. No don't go back to 1.0 don't think that would help. But ya never know.
  11. I would let supprt know. See if you roll back?
  12. When you drag audio from DAW to EZB, do you get this?
  13. It works just like a charm in CbB Zo. Exact same spot your dragging yours to I can drag it from CbB into EZB I'm still on 1.0.2
  14. I got a couple of hard crashes that closed the project and created a dump file that I sent in to Toontrack Support. But lately, noting. And I been working with it almost everyday.
  15. Ok, I'll say it again. I can drag audio or midi from a trk in CbB into EZB. If the above ain't working for you, your gonna have to give us more info like where are you dragging it to in EZB?
  16. Yep, just checked again, I dragged some Bass midi from the Browser in CbB staright into the Song Trk of EZB. Gave me the chords and all the midi to go with it.
  17. Yes I have. I have dragged audio into it, and midi from EZD and EZK into EZB, all the while I was in VSTi mode inside CbB. I have found very few bugs. Have not used it in any other DAW though.

The non sale price seems more than it use to. Am I just imaginaging this?
  19. Didn't even put up a fight!!
  20. Yes, that's what I was trying to do here. If you listen to the hit hats in the beginning, I used those midi clips from EZD to generate the bass part. It was mostly one note, but in time and beat with the hi hat. From there you can add the transitions that Glynn mentioned. And what I found out was that you could take that as far as you want to go. The same patterns are used towards the end, just embellished with the transition setting and the 'Find' feature in the browser. Another great feature of EZB is the Timing/Swing. You can use that on the whole song or just on a section. Gives a loose feel. If you listen to my example, you can hear the bass has that loose feel. All the notes were on the money with either the keyboards or drums. I adjusted the Swing setting and that opened up the whole piece. I can see someone using this to get some great grooves going.

    Who Is Larry Shelby?

Wonder what the deal is with that?
  22. Yes, this is what I am finding out too. The wav I posted was hardly any editing in the grid editor. I was just trying to see what EZB could do on it's own. It surprised me that you said EZB didn't recognize the chords of the midi dragging into it from EZK. Since I was just working with both as is, I can only assume that I didn't notice this due to both being in the key of C and me working with a very simple chord progression.
  23. Here is a wav that I made with EZ Bass, EZ Drummer, EZ Keys. This is waht EZB can do.
  24. I thought about it. But I am no good at that! Most of this has been found out here at work (where I am right now). We've been getting some breaks and I was able to dig into EZB a lot more than I thought I would. Let us know what you think of it. I am curious to see what a bass player thinks about it. I also hooked up TH-U bass amp and Amplitube SVT amp to the DI preset of EZB and man that really opens up the sound of that thing!!
