  1. I was working with the Drum and Keyboard tab last night. In combination with the Audio Tracker and the Grooves that come with EZB, I am starting to piece together some really good sounding bass lines with lots of variety and flash!! I have found with the keyboard midi dragged into EZB you can use the left hand or right hand. Each one gives different results. Now also add the midi drum to EZB and you have three choices that can cover almost the whole song. Now look for grooves based on those generated clips and you can slice and place little fills all over the place. Yep, they hit this out the park!!
  2. Yep! That's a good'un there. I think the ones that come with Cakewalk are more than adequate.
  3. @Zo Agree with Jim on both points. This^^^ is what I am learning as I go through all the features. I did like I said I would do and I keep using the same guitar part to create a bass line with. I have two versions saved so far. Each version gets a little more like what I am after. But I think I am at the point where I will need to start digging into the manual. Things I need, like a start off-set, I can't find. I also am wondering what the extra trks you can add to it are all about. I haven't figured that one out yet. I love that it will start and stop along with Cakewalk, sometimes. The stopping seems to be off for some reason. I hit space and it will start right with CbB. But when I click space bar again to stop, CbB keeps playing. It will Go To Previous/Next measure/marker really well. It's just that stopping thing.
  4. Yeah Zo I got it and was playing with it most of the day. Great features. Lots of things to tweak to get what you want. But once I learn it, I can see this being easier than it is for me now.
  5. Yes. It has Tap To Find.
  6. I don't think we are!! 'cause I was thinking the same thing as I am playing around with it. I think if I get the midi the way I want in EZB, then drag the midi over to a trk on MODO bass.... Yes!!
  7. Welcome to the machine!!! : )
  8. Yep. Took a while for me to figure this out! I was like "Why would I want to save in the vst?" Duh!!
  9. Yes, exactly. Well said. And it's being this "Extremely simple" "Extremely well!" that separates the good ones from the run of the mill crowd. I just used the Audio Tracker (before I watched Larry's video) on a clean guitar trk (the whole song) and the results note wise was on the money. The playing that was generated wouldn't be that useful without some major editing. However, after watching the video Larry just posted, it gave me some ideas about how I could have gone about it better. So, I am going to keep using the same guitar part (because it works well with EZB) and try the different options I learned about in the video to see what it can generate. It seems that the little effort I put into getting the generated part, is what I got out of it!!
  10. Yep! And I'll do it as long as they let me!! I like to sit around with EZD and let roll and play stuff. It is fun!!
  11. I can too. But I really don't play like a Bassist. I play like a guitar player playing bass. I find it hard to work on the guitar parts and bass. I have a tendency to want to follow the guitar instead of the drums. And my biggest problem is when I want to do a fill, it tends to sound like a guitar fill!! : ) I have played bass in bands. And it was an awakening to me to realize how much of a percussive instrument the bass is. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And would do it again if the need arises. But I realized very quickly, I am not a bassist. My hope is I can get this to sound more like a bassist than I am. With the little playing around I did last night, I realized, this ain't EZ Drummer!! It's a little more involved than that for sure. But the results were promising. I just need to learn the program some more.
  12. We were talking about EZB Xpansions. Well look at what I noticed: TT is recommending a spot to put the libraries, because there will be many more ya gonna buy!!! I had to laugh out loud on that one!! Not if your gonna buy them, but you will buy them!! : )
  13. This is a sweet reverb!! For free!! No-Brainer!!
  14. My first Valhalla product!
  15. Agreed. This is much more than I thought it would be. I am at work right now and can't d/l to play around with. But the videos have shown me that this is what I wanted and much more!! And for a great price too!! They could have gotten more for this product I believe.
  16. Yep, the whole time I was watching the videos I was thinking, "I could use this feature in EZ Keys!" Yep Yep, have already decided I am going to upgrade to EZ Keys 2 for sure!! : )
  17. I watched the videos and didn't realize they were all using the free player. Thanks again @Matthew Sorrels and @antler for clearing this up and helping me out.
  18. So this plugin wouldn't be adversely affected by just having the free player. Am I understanding you correctly? I listened to all the samples they have on their site and I liked it. I may do this deal. I am hesitant because I don't want to spend the money to find out about a "gotcha" that every Kontak user already knows!! That's why I was asking. So good point Matt.
  19. YEs, that's what I was thinking. If for some reason you can't go to that place and get your licenses, you can request a new license. I think you can do that at least once a year.
  20. Exactly. Which to me means to me they are trying something to sell more WUP. I see that as the original WUP plan ain't working out so well. Not like they thought it would. I ain't buying it. But like Starise, I ain't gonna hold it against them. What I have from them works, and works very well for the money I spent. Now that bang-for-buck value would go away if I was forced to WUP. But so far that hasn't happened. Not yet.
  21. Neither have I. Can anyone tell me the difference between using it with full version of Kontak or the free version? I don't have Kontak. Nor do I want to buy it. But looking at this has me ALMOST wanting to get Kontak.
  22. I'll give them credit for trying. This means they realize that many other companies allow for more than one PC. And I agree with Larry that they should allow at the very least two installs for products currently WUP'd. With the second license staying active as long as you don't move it.
  23. I always want to pronounce this "Gulf-Floss" Anybody else like that?
