Both are nice. And both at a good price!!
-
Well, I bought something the last go round with this voucher.... this time I got stuff for free!! I got the Rat stomp and Indent 2 free!!
-
I have the Waves API 2500 and use it on my drum buss. Like what it does. Haven't demo'd the UA version yet but.plan on it. I did pick up the API Vision channel strip recently because I really liked the clear focus it gave my vocal after I demo'd it. Also demo'd that Neve preamp. Man that is sweet. Lots of character. Used it in Unison slot and recorded a clean blues rhythm to a trk. Then I added the Fender 55 and it sounded really good. But then I tried the Marshall Plexi Lead for a crunch sound and man!! That was it!! What I was really trying to do was listen to what amps I have now, and maybe buy another before the sale ends. But I realized I'm covered!!

Working with just USB over here. And to be honest, working and testing these plugins the last few days I got to say I am really happy I joined the group. (I resisted for a long time!) But the USB seems to be working fine. That was a find right there!! With the way that unfolded I might have backed out thinking something was up. But to get an Octo for $400!!? Mannn! Why? To get rid of it? Or would you make a profit? With my Apollo Twin and the Octo, I'm all set.

I just grabbed a Satellite OCTO for a good price. It also came with the legacy plugins. Do I now have two licenses of these plugins? Will have to demo that AKG reverb. I have the EMT 250, and also have heard the EMT 140, really like both of them. Gary you need to demo these two EMT reverbs also. That's the only thing I can see missing in your list!! : ) Last night I was doing some testing with the Octo and was surprised at how many UA plugins I had going in project and was only using about <20% of DSP. One of them was OWS!!

@kevin H No link?
-
Maybe so. I thought I was keeping up with that, but I could have missed it. I know I was paying attention with EZB being new and all... but ya never know!!
-
Are you sure about that? I went to a Presonus convention and the guys that came up with S1 (the devs) was there saying they started S1 from scratch, and didn't have all the legacy code that all other DAW's had. That was something they were really on and on about. One of their big selling points. Also wanted to point out that there was a big d/l update for EZ Keys too.
-
Yes both are. Each is different and can be used together. But if you had to get just one? Get the one on sale!!
-
I like Townhouse. And Maag 4. Good deals there.
-
Yep. You can do a lot with this plugin.
-
It was also confirmed by me. I did it. I got Channel X for free.
-
@Fleer Yes you can get the Channel X for free if you have all the components. I was thinking the same. Getting it and Yellowdrive for $20.
-
@Patrick Wichrowski I should have known some die-hard NES/Elder Scrolls fan would have done this!! Listened to it on my Surface Pro speakers for full effect!!! LOL. I got a good laugh out of that one. Thanks Patrick!!
-
That's a good deal!!
-
We all know the NES didn't have a sound chip capable of playing the music in that game!!! : )

But they are selling two Lindell plugins that are worth the sale price of $10. The 7X-500 (a 1176 comp emulation) has lots of character. Like this plugin. And PEX-500 (a Pultec EQ emulation) and this one is also a great little plugin with lots of sweet character.

This is a "Never Ending Story"! My last build (I didn't plan it this way, life dictated it!) took me a lot longer than I wanted/thought it would. But that did allow me to watch prices on SSD and M.2 drives. I was able to get several 1TB SSD drives, and a 500gb M.2 (for system) and a 1tb M.2 for storage, and I didn't pay much over $100 for any of them! Best strategy right there! Definitely!

I use AD2 and have quite a few of their kits. But I by no means have all of their kits. They have 21 complete kits!! I have five of them. That's more than enough for me. All are excellent. They have 32 midi packs! I have eight of those. They have 14 kit pieces. This is where I think they dropped the ball. This could have been something of a money stream for them. Spend about three-six months recording different kit pieces and release them over time. This also could have really set them apart from EZD2.

Yeah, speaking of "Great Deals .... I found a Octo Satellite USB for the same price, and it included the stuff they give away with new units, (the Legacy plugins?). Will be here in a few days. I thought the same about the price, wasn't a great deal, but still not the full price. So now I can record with what I want, and mix with what I want. Learned a few things about these DSP cards. I can't use more than two UA USB devices together on the same system. Never even thought about this. You would think it all works together, but apparently not. Anyway, I'm good to go for now!

I am too. Didn't mean that it wasn't any good. I have it and love it. But I did wait till it went on a good sale!!
-
Thanks I have the Waves and the AAS plugins. Might just hold off then.
-
Not exactly what I was thinking... but a good choice nonetheless!!!

Yes, wish they would continue to develop all their stuff, besides XO. I may try and get that Rhodes.
