  1. Oh, I forgot: Free synthwave template from OST Audio at And some high quality templates at thepatchbay.io. Like this one here: https://thepatchbay.io/product/along-the-bay-ableton-project/. They have sales sometimes. I got this one for €4.61.
  2. Yes, their templates are very expensive. But good. Sometimes you can get it a little cheaper, like 20% off or so. Fun anecdote: I thought their template "1982" was stolen from Marvel83's "Atlantis". But it turned out to be the opposite. The template is older than the track from "Marvel83". If you like template/project files, I've got a few recommendations for you: WA Production has a lot of free FL Studio templates. You can convert them to Ableton Live with https://jukeblocks.io/convert/, which usually does a good job. Also very good value is F9 Audio Trax series, currently up to 40% off in their summer sale. Electric Disco II for example, contains 5 templates for £20.65, plus 6 startup project, and 160+ Live Racks. Or if you're into synthwave, I recommend their Grid Trilogy Deluxe edition. No plugins needed. All instruments are multipsampled Ableton Live instruments, made with Sampler, converted to Simpler, so they work with any Ableton Live edition. You can get some free Ableton Live templates every now and then if you subscribe to the https://dawpro.co newsletter. I got Vintage Culture and Saint Jhn - Roses for free. Synth Ctrl often has good offers for Ableton Live templates. Like right now you can get all their 10 templates in a bundle for $19.99 with the code SUMMER01, so that's only $2 per template. I wish I had gotten them that cheap ? They require Serum though. The user Alivelooping has templates for 6€ on wemakedancemusic.com and if you sign up to the newsletter, or search for coupon codes with a search engine, you can get 50% to 60% discounts. I got Alivelooping's templates for 2.40€ each. They're not bad. The structure is a little strange to me (some tracks have MIDI notes but really the tracks are routed to play MIDI notes from a different track) and they're all themed around the love of christ and such, which isn't that appealing to me as an atheist, but they sound great and they come with vocals, which you don't often have in template files.
  3. You can get Movement for 15€ at Knobcloud
  4. Nah, it's all good. I thought the upgrade price for the universal license was only for people who owned the universal license of V1, but it's for anyone who has at least one V1 license, no matter which product. So I bought it now.
  5. Is there only an upgrade price for the full suite? I can't find an upgrade option for just Affinity Designer.
  6. My pleasure. If you're new to Ableton Live then maybe you don't know about the other Abletunes freebies yet? Foundation instruments: https://abletunes.com/free-ableton-packs-instruments-foundation Free projects and stuff: https://abletunes.com/search?type=0&bpm=0%3B300&tags[]=115&sort=1#
  7. https://abletunes.com/product/electronic/analog-drums-free-ableton-drum-rack
  8. P.S.: There's also a free soundbank with 32 presets for Pigments: https://pohaas.gumroad.com/l/sqsws?layout=profile
  9. Found on KVR Audio: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=610793 Every month 10 new presets get added, all for free, starting with this month. Available on Gumroad: https://pohaas.gumroad.com/l/uhvyo Currently only for Pigments, but the sound designer says: The YouTube video on the KVR Audio Forum showcases the presets. Some nice sounds there, in my opinion. Also, he or she has a sale on the paid soundbanks that you find on https://pohaas.gumroad.com/. Use code ONEYEAR35 for 35% off.
  10. For real. If you're on music producer TikTok, his samples are all over the place.
  11. https://www.dharmaworldwide.com/product/sounds-of-kshmr-vol-4/ regular price: $99.99 This weekend: $49.99
  12. https://www.f9-audio.com/ Highly recommended. I own a few of their products. They're not just regular sample packs. The Trax series contains templates for Logic and Ableton Live, many products also have Kontakt libraries and/or Ableton Live instruments. You really get a lot for your money and the quality is great. Their YouTube channel is also worth subscribing to.
  13. I love Disco. But good disco strings as an instrument are hard to find. The demos sound great. Beyond my budget though, unfortunately.
  14. The new issue of Beat Magazine, 07/24 (#222) is available for subscribers at www.plugins-samples.com. This month's freebie is the channel strip "White Channel" by IK Multimedia. According to IK Multimedia:
  15. Hm. I don't know. Do vocal Kontakt libraries have a future in times of AI vocals? For that price you could get a voicebank for Synthesizer V. And Synthesizer V voicebanks aren't only much smaller in filesize, but can also do much more than just Oohs and Aahs.
  16. You know you've got too many synths when you can't remember which ones you already have ?
  17. I think you need to activate it from within the standalone version.
  18. I trust people when they say that they hear different flavors in different EQs. But I don't hear the difference, so I don't care that much. Most of the time I just use Ableton Live's stock EQ "EQ Eight", it's easy and intuitive. But the fact that this TikTok here exists got me thinking that it's a thing in the audio industry that some just think they hear a difference where there's none (this one is about compressors, but same principle of letting your eyes fool your ears):
  19. I've got a spare redeem code for Double Scoop to give away for free. Anyone interested? It's a two voice rompler. There's also a free expansion pack for it: Twisted Sundae DM me if you would like to have it.
  20. I have now officially overcome GAS. Even channel strips for 1$ don't bother me anymore. ???
  21. I must be doing something wrong. I didn't get any goosebumps ☹️
