That's worth posting as a deal. I have Atlas, I love it. $49 is a great price.

I think most people know that. The instrument mode is frustrating for many users because it doesn't let you play notes like on a keyboard. Instead, the right hand plays the fretboard and the left hand defines how you trigger the notes that have been activated by the fretboard-hand. That ensures that whatever you play is actually possible for a real guitarist to play too, and gives more realistic results, but doesn't give you the freedom of easily playing any combination of notes. What many people would like to have, I believe, is an instrument mode where you hit C2 and the guitar plays C2. Hit D4 and the guitar plays D4. But Silk 2 doesn't offer that, neither in Play, nor in instrument mode.

Acknowledging that you've got an addiction is the first step. I feel like people like to joke about GAS but I think it's a serious addiction that can cost people lots of money. I once started to write down everything Audio-related that I bought into a Google Sheet and was shocked when I realized how much money I've spent in the last three years. Now instead of buying more and more, I only get freebies, sell some licenses and maybe spend like 10€ every few months. What helped me is to realize how little the things that I buy actually contribute to my music. And to remember that I'm just doing this as a hobby. What might be a must-have for a serious producer might be a total waste in my hands as I don't even know how to use it properly. When tempted to buy something, I ask myself these questions: Do I really need it? Have people been able to make great music without it? (The answer is always "yes", of course) Do I have similar products? If I have similar products, have I really used them to their full potential yet? Does this new thing do anything I absolutely need? When reading the comments there might be this overall consensus that it'd be tragic to miss this amazing deal. Don't let that impress you. Remember the many times where you fell into that trap just to later think "hm ... I don't really find it as great as the people in the forum do". Am I just trying to compensate lack of skills by buying things? That never works.

I'm cured too! 🙌 Somehow it happened when I tried AI music. I realised that the reason I couldn't create music like that myself wasn't the lack of software or samples but the lack of productivity, skills and knowledge. I've spent like 10€ in the last three months. Prior to that I'd easily spend 100€ and more per month. I still take some freebies though.

Nice. I have a whole lot of their soundbanks already but not this one yet. -
Got this via newsletter: https://rigid-audio.com/products_synferno.html They have a few freebies in their shop, and I know that some of them used to cost money, like Lupus. I have no idea when they started to give them away for free. Might want to have a look: https://rigidaudio.onfastspring.com/

IK Multimedia Offer Orange OR120 (+ matching cab) FREE
audioschmaudio replied to satya's topic in Deals
Is it because you already had AmpliTube? Someone somewhere gave me the tip to simply deactivate and reactivate AmpliTube in the IK Product Manager. That should add the freebie to your account. Worked for me recently with the Mesa Mark III freebie. -
Step 1: Make hits Step 2: Give them away for free Voila, Hits for free

The Ujam 808 deal is also available at lots of other sites, like Bestservice, Ujam itself, Plugin Boutique. I bought one at Plugin Boutique and don't need the freebie because I already have it. If anybody wants Softube VCA Compressor, DM me, you can have my license (not registered yet) for free. Update: Taken.

It's common practice to have a link to the sign-up page from the log-in page. Like "No account yet? Click here to sign up". That's what I expected. Signing up from my smartphone was a nightmare. First, you don't see the minimum requirements for the password until you submit the form. Then the captcha generated a new set of characters without me noticing. So it failed again. Corrected the captcha. Fail again: It had removed my password after the failed attempt. Finally got everything right, got redirected to an invalid URL. No confirmation mail. And wasn't able to log in with my chosen password. Tried "forgotten password", received no email. So I signed up again, this time from my computer. It was a little better. Here I got redirected correctly. But again no confirmation mail. Was able to log in though. The whole website gives me little trust in the company. I don't know Miniraze. Is it any good? Should I even bother installing it?

It says I have to log in first but I see no option to create a new account 😕 Edith: never mind, found it

Nice. I don't think I've ever seen them that cheap. You also get IK Multimedia Obie One free with any purchase.
