Halion Sonic 7 is freeware
-
are you sure about that? I believe it's just a regular VST.

Waldorf Edition 2 LE is free with any purchase at ADSR Sounds. The regular price is 19,90€ or 21$. It contains three plugins: Attack (Percussion Synthesizer), PPG 2.2V (emulation of the 80s synth PPG Wave) and 2-Pole (Filter-Plugin). The LE version has some restrictions over the full version. More information on the official Waldorf Site.

The new issue of Beat Magazine is already available in German for subscribers on plugins-samples.com. English issue following soon. This month's freebie is Efektor Modulation by Kuassa, Beat edition. I don't know Kuassa Efektor Modulation, never heard of it, and don't know what's the difference to the Beat edition. Beat Magazine's plugin description (translated from German with deepl.com): And, of course, there's a new Zampler soundbank again. "Harmony of Realms", with 81 ethereal voices, elven harps and droids.

So true. That's why for testing presets I've made an Ableton Live template with a bunch of MIDI clips that have no overlapping notes, some MIDI clips with overlapping notes, some with low notes, some with high notes, MIDI clips with melodies, MIDI clips with chord progressions, with chord stabs, fast melodies, slow melodies, etc. When I just play some random notes on my MIDI controller, a preset might sound awful. But play the right clip, bam, best preset ever. I also remember how surprised I was when I first realized how much difference the arrangement/layering/context makes. I had this template from F9 Audio and listened to some tracks in solo. Without the layering of synths and without all the other stuff going on at the same time, some synth sounded so different, I wouldn't have guessed that it could sound like it does in the full arrangement.

I don't have Chromaphone, so I have no opinion of my own, but I've often seen it being listed as one of the best. It's mentioned as one of the top 10 or so soft synths in online articles by Sonic Academy, Music Radar, Unison and many more. So, without having tested it myself, in my brain it's saved under "Top tier soft synths". I can imagine that the session plugins give AAS a bad reputation. Not because they sound bad, but because they look cheap and are being sold cheap, so that makes the company behind it appear cheap, in a negative way. Some of the very first plug-ins I ever bought were exactly this session bundle, also from HumbleBundle, in 2021. Being new to music production and not knowing anything about which companies are good, this instantly made me think of AAS as a low-budget company. Three years and some experience later I had to unlearn this association. And even those session plugins sound really good to me. Like when I need an acoustic guitar, Strum Session often turns out to be the one that sounds just right to me, despite having more expensive alternatives.

Not under the system requirements for the MIDI packs though: https://ugritone.com/products/almighty-midi-pack-midi-collection

How can MIDI files be incompatible with a DAW?! ?
-
So sad to see a good business give up. Their emotional farewell words break my heart. How they struggled and burned out. ? ?? I bought their "Almighty MIDI Pack: 2017-2023 MIDI Collection" in March, where it was also available for $29, along with "Riot Drums 2" for €1.50. I haven't really used them much yet but tested them and the MIDI files are the first thing I'd pull up if I wanted to created a metal track. I like their Ugritone Drums plugin too and the Riot Drums 2 drum pack. They're great value for the money.

AI Vocals: The Music Revolution Begins

Yes, but it's still fun to try. The way I see it: Making music yourself is like playing a game, letting AI create music for you is like watching a game. And I find it fascinating, just to see and experience what's technologically possible these days. -
FREE - Waves Flow Motion FM Synth from Sonic State (June 22nd to June 24th)

I got it for free with Beat Magazine once. Never used it. The user interface is so awkward, I just don't get used to it. -

Suno currently has a referal program. If you register with this link: https://suno.com/invite/@mus_ai_c and generate 10 songs (you can use the free version), you get 250 extra credits. -
Yep, and qualifies you for an upgrade to Synthmaster 3 for $69 instead of $89. And even if you don't want to upgrade, 2,000 presets for $5. How cool is that? Arturia soundbanks have like 32 presets for 9$.

Worked for me too

Who is Dave Gamble

I'm starting to think you might like Spire a little bit.

We know

That's a crazy good deal. I mean, I know they give their stuff away super cheap quite often, but still. I paid 5,91€ for the Ultimate Serum Bundle and thought that was as cheap as it gets. The presets aren't bad at all. I don't understand why they sell it so cheap. Plus, they sometimes add new products to the Ultimate Producer Bundle and if you've already bought it, you get the new additions for free too. I got the Ultimate Producer Bundle for free last year in February and this year in May they sent me an email to tell me that I get their new Hard Techno pack for free because I have the bundle.

Well, apparently all of them are registered now. Probably being sold on KVR Forum now. ?
-
Awesome. Thank you ? It worked.

Not funny ?

I tried all day and now it's over ?

You don't need this. Seriously. You'll regret it. You already have all the tools you need.

Not true. It was available for $19 at Best Service, ADSR and Plugin Boutique before. And it was part of HumbleBundle Mega Sound Designer Crate Vol. 3, which I got for €22.73.
