  1. Any big improvements? I already liked version 6 so much, I wouldn't even know what to improve.
  2. I can afford to buy audio software every now and then just for fun but it might be that the financial insecurity that comes with inflation has made me spend MORE money on it. For two reasons: 1. If I don't spend my savings, they'll just lose value anyway. So 10€ today might have a value of 2€ in a few years. 2. I got hooked by deals because I feel like I'm saving money even though I'm actually spending money on unnecessary things. Yes, I'm irrational like that sometimes. Even reflecting about it doesn't help. It's an addiction, I guess.
  3. "Have you ever wished you could capture the audio or MIDI that you just played or heard on your computer? Now you can with Rewind v2" Captures the last played MIDI notes. That's a built-in feature in Ableton Live. Does the plugin add any extra options or something? Like go back the last ten or so played MIDI phrases? And don't all popular DAWs have that feature?
  4. They also have Logik projects and Kontakt instruments. And their latest products also offer Bitwig versions.
  5. Very wise. Anyway, if you like their genres, such as house, nu disco, synthwave, don't forget about them. They're my absolute favorite vendor of Ableton Live templates and racks. High quality, low prices (the aforementioned products contain 5 to 7 project files each and 8 GB of sample-based instrument racks/Kontakt libraries). You can also get up to 30% with vouchers, like non-personalized loyalty-vouchers, newsletter-subscription vouchers, and so on. If you need one, write me a DM.
  6. If you're like me and like to buy project files, I can highly recommend the Trax products, such as Electric Disco II or Grid Trilogy. They contain all the Ableton Live project files that were used for creating the demo tracks, as well as multisampled instrument racks. F9 was founded by James Wiltshire, who you might know from The Freemasons. He also has a great YouTube channel where he gives tips for music production.
  7. I'll do that. For Ableton racks I can also recommend F9 Audio. You probably already know them, but if you don't, have a look.
  8. Nice, thank you I just realized that they have a huge selection of taster-packs: https://modeaudio.com/free-taster-sound-packs It's tedious to download them all manually, but with an extension like DownThemAll! it's just one click.
  9. Thanks, @ralfrobert and @PavlovsCat I bought it now and after a first quick look I think that was a good decision. Some really nice sounds in there. Crazy what you can get for $10 sometimes.
  10. That sounds like a great offer. I have no experience with Puremagnetic though. Are their products good?
  11. Am I the only one who doesn't like Cube Mini that much? I got it for free from PB, gave it a few tries, but it never clicked with me.
  12. I expect it to come with factory presets, just like all other players. Maybe a little less presets than the full version. If he's already working on a first patch pack then I see that as an indicator that I might be right with the assumption that the main goal of the player is to sell additional soundbanks. In fact, as I think about it, I can't think of any player version that you can't get for free, except for Synthmaster Player which is often available for less than $10 and free only occasionally. Do you know any plugin player version that never sells for less than $10?
  13. If you look at other vendors you'll see that player versions often are sold around $10 or even free, even for sophisticated synths like Analog Lab or Synthmaster or AAS products. In the end the developer probably doesn't have to program that much new stuff for the player version, just remove the interface for tweaking the sounds. I believe players often are free or sold cheap to get people to buy soundbanks or to get them hooked, so that they might upgrade to the real thing.
  14. Nice. I tried the demo of Hyperion and really liked some of the sounds but find the patch editor quite daunting, so a player version would be just right for me. I wonder how much it will cost. I could have bought the full version for $22.50 at JRR shop, so I'd probably only buy the player for about half that price. I read on that discord channel that he already presented it on the NAMM in April, so I think and hope that it won't take too long until it gets released.
  15. I just bought it. There are lots of really nice presets inside. And the collection seems quite versatile, useful for many different genres.
  16. I can't find any information about it on the internet. And isn't it "Hydro"? Looks like Hydro on the screenshot.
  17. I think it's okay. A bit like Captain Plugins with the difference that you have all tracks inside one plugin rather than having to jump between Captain Chords, Captain Melody and Captain Deep. But with Captain Plugins I got better results, have more control and it can generate its own sound, with some presets using the Phase Plant engine. Plus Captain Plugins also comes with Captain Beat which is an awesome beat machine. My biggest issue with Instacomposer is that it requires a DAW that supports multi-MIDI-channel output. Ableton Live doesn't, so as an Ableton Live user I have to use a hack to route each track from Instacomposer to an individual Ableton Live MIDI track. I hoped that they'd find a workaround for that in version 2, like they did with Loop Engine, but unfortunately it doesn't seem so.
  18. W.A. Production have released version 2 of Instacomposer. For the next 28 days (and 5 hours) you can get it for € 30,14 instead of € 100,46. Or for the upgrade price of € 9,22 if you already own Instacomposer 1. https://www.waproduction.com/plugins/view/instacomposer-2
  19. That's right. They should make it more obvious that this is a monthly fee. The normal way to indicate this would be to display the price like $12.99/mo
  20. Oh yes, I hate it when shops do that. Same on Function Loops. Why? Just why do people do that?!
  21. 4.68GB even! ? I'm starting to think that Soundpaint/8Dio are just a side-business of Western Digital to sell external hard drives.
  22. You can still get it cheaper on KnobCloud though. I got it for 38€.
  23. I don't even know what Guitar Center is. A little google search tells me it might be guitarcenter.com which just seems to be yet another plugin shop. What about it?
