  1. This thread is here to collect solutions that have ... 1. ... uncomplicated and future-proof offline authorization, ... 2. ... are well supported and maintained ... 3. ... and get active support and updates. One may be interested in having solutions like this to build a future proof environment. Overall quality and design / user experience may be important considerations, too. Please feel free to add products that you think fit this description.
  2. We should open a dedicated thread on these "independence plugins". Or does this already exist?
  3. I completely avoid ilok and subscriptions, so Slate is not an option. Sadly, as they are light on the CPU and very powerful.
  4. Good idea... I have to check my PA account and see what I have, give the plugins a spin and investigate. Sometimes I am blind to what I already own... Weird.
  5. I like their vintage style plugins. However, I am doing most of my work on a weak notebook, and they are a bit heavy on the CPU so I can't use many of them. Any ideas on lighter alternatives to T-Racks? Regarding authorization, installation etc , I've given up on this company. Hot mess, nothing else.
  6. Great. I wish something like this had extisted 6 years ago when I started producing music.
  7. https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/virtual-instruments/tracktion-collective Free IK Multimedia T-RackS Tape Machine 24 included, no additional discount
  8. Some small fixes and a new tuner. 16.07a changes MGuitarArchitect Added a global tuner and polytuner to MGuitarArchitect. Fix MDrumStrip MDrumStrip was inducing latency in some devices. Fix AU GUI plugin size issues under macOS with multiple displays (Logic Pro, GarageBand). Fix Plugins could incorrectly store certain paths and text featuring some characters. Fix Mouse cursor behavior under macOS, when changing parameters (i.e dragging knobs). Fix MDrummer MDrummer could crash in Bitwig in some cases.
  9. I am curious to hear if the new version is any good...
  10. Does GEM Voice go that low? It looks very interesting.

  12. If it's getting the job done, yes. Have been using Voxengo Voxformer for the last years which gets me 90% where I want to go. I don't see a reason to try a new shiny tool to replace it.
  13. https://hy-plugins.com/product/hy-slicer2/ Intro price until June 27th
  14. Get Hyperion instead and pick up Fast Bundle for free in a few weeks. These are products I can 100% recommend.
  15. It isn't. I have to show it together with an official ID to match names. And I never said it is particularly pretty.
  16. In fact, I am enrolled in a program that gives me countless edu discounts and a nice looking physical student ID, so no conflict of interest here.
  17. This DAW is a really powerful all in one package. On the other hand, it's easily possible to skip a major version or two.
  18. https://www.sonicacademy.com/news/happy-10th-birthday-ana £49 or the equivalent in $ or € This is a good one, also an excellent choice for learning synthesis. Ends June 30th.
  19. And they are not famous for big point updates like Presonus are.
  20. Sounds nice. But I will stay with V7 for now. Have to pay for electricity, food and water first.

  22. There should be a curated list of the best stuff around. This could be very helpful for newbies on a budget. BPB has good lists by the way. They are the king of free stuff.
  23. That's great, thanks. The drum strip is a fine piece of software, and more videos are highly appreciated.
