This depends on how much you like crate digging. I don't and have reduced my samples to 50 GB total. Mars, Goldbaby, etc. Computer lyme isn't a thing, though.

I think newcomers should spend a little money on the DAW and not go for the free ones. Studio One Artist seems to be the best entry level offering. Just my 2c. This means other, right?
