  1. Jimbo , Great fun song and great timing . Got a couple of friends coming in from the west coast and one from Hawaii. One more round before we're all gone.. Thanks .. mark
  2. I Loved this one Jack. The change at 1:45 was brilliant! A Lot of Great sounds in this. Highly impressed with the mix as well. Nice ending . mark
  3. Very nice .. you left me wanting to hear more. Bridge to Somewhere was also very impressive . Enjoyed the production .. mark
  4. Peter , the point I was trying to make (but didn't do a very good job of it) , was about the "verses" you sang after doing the chorus. The chorus was sung Great , and so was the following Verse. If the first verse was sung with the conviction that the last verse had , I think you would bring this song up to a new level. Thanks .. mark
  5. Very Nice. Sorry I was late to the party on your last posting of this song. I thought the mix was Very good. One thing I noticed was at the chorus , you seemed to really get your vocal confidence up and sang everything with more power and conviction all the way to the end. I've learned that when this happens to me , I immediately re-sing the first verse after finding my spot. Great Job .. mark
  6. I thought this was a Very solid start on a good song . The drums were Very Nice and you've got a head start on most of us in that department , even if you had to use a virtual kit at some point , being a Real drummer you would still be ahead. Hopefully you can locate your mics , I thought your vocals were Real Nice but would be a lot better if captured differently. Can't wait to hear more of this . Enjoyed it mark
  7. What a Great song to cover ! You guys did a Fantastic job capturing the essence of the song. Nice guitar treatment and spot on vocals. I agree with PhonoBrainer about the vocal panning and I thought the ending was too abrupt. That being said , I think you did a Great Job. I Really Liked it. mark
  8. Good to see you back with another creation. A nice "feel good" one for sure. I enjoyed the listen. mark
  9. Jack , Great job on the guitars and overall mix. Really Nice! mark
  10. Very Tranquil. Enjoyed it a Lot. I do think the L/R guitars could be narrowed a little (headphone listen) and maybe a little ambient processing. Check out ambient (acoustic) guitar by "Chords of Orion" on his you tube channel. Very nice song. mark
  11. Wonderful sounding guitars . I Really liked the low end in this one. Could use a fade at the end. Great work .. mark
  12. Amazing transformation ! Re- singing it made a Massive difference. An increase of a couple of bpm can be pretty transparent , but I've ne never seen it work on vocals. The entire mix sounded Way better. I Loved the outro. If it was there on the first mix it didn't have the impact this mix has. Maybe a little more thickening or "saturation" on the main vocals would be the only thing I would try for trying to raise the bar a even more. Fantastic song ! Enjoying it .. mark
  13. On your main toolbar section , Is your metronome turned on for both playback and recording ?
  14. Great flowing song Bruce . Very smooth and it sounded Very well sung. I think the vocals are just over processed. If it's not baked in I'd just pull the effects off and re-evaluate them. I think the pitch needs to be a Lot looser. They were just too perfect and you couldn't hear any climb up to the notes. Still , Very impressive especially for an early mix. I thought all the instrumentation was Great. I Loved the Surf sounding guitars. Enjoyed it .. mark

Tight ! That was some wonderful funked up jazz and a Superior mix and master. How much hard panning do you use ? Loved it .. mark
  16. Great Job ! I instantly got the same vibe as the original had. You vocals are Way better than you think they are. It was Real nice hearing this again .. mark
  17. Good one Lee ! I especially liked the bridge and lead break. That's quite a nice concept. If you've got writers block , Write a song about having writers block ! You can't lose. I Really enjoyed it .. mark
  18. Totally Amazing vocal range. I Really liked the long vocal reverb tails overlapping the lead breaks. Very Nice .. mark
  19. Yes the midi instruments will follow the key change. I've only done it once , but first I bounced to track the midi drums beforehand not knowing how they would react. I guess freezing would have also worked on the drums. I assume it would work the same on a groove clip. ms

    Sunny Day

Another Beautiful song Rex. I Really liked the laid back James Taylor type feel you got out of this one. I do think the main vox could use a little more "air" EQ wise and I was wanting to hear a little reverb swell when all the high harmony parts danced. The verb part would just be a mixing choice , not that it really needed it. You've been on a Fantastic roll . Loved it mark
  21. Makke , Excellent job! This one makes me want to grab a surfboard. Nice playing. mark
  22. Cool song Freddy , I believe you could also tag this one #experimental. I thought the chaos in it was fitting for the subject matter. I agree it could use a little clean up. For me I thought the "left" guitar could be backed off when the lead guitar comes in , with the lead replacing it in the stereo field. I Really liked the energy here. Enjoyed it .. mark
  23. Looks to me like someone made some sort of revision to your song and is now claiming credit for the remix. But since they mentioned you in the post and locked it for comments , it doesn't look to me like an attempt to steal it. It was a VERY bad decision on their part to put it in a separate post without your permission. Sometimes it's done here , but done in the original post as a suggestion or just trying to help someone with a mix. Sometimes a person will take one of your Soundcloud songs and link it to their page , but they don't try and get any credit for it. May just be an innocent mistake , but If you don't like it they will probably take it down if bombarded with personal messages. ms
  24. Great job on a not so easy to sing song. I really like the Power in your vocals. This one sure took me back Enjoyed it .. mark
  25. I now "surrender" . The new links now reflect a final mix. Thanks to All of you .. mark
