  1. Chandler , Amazing guitar work ! I loved the directions it went with the different change ups. Great drum track as well. I think you can skip practice , and just keep recording and posting. That was an Awesome performance. mark
  2. @Jimbo 88 Thanks for the feedback. I've done another remix and put it a step closer to the first mix that I posted. While doing It , I settled down the drums quite a bit. I normally get along nicely with the TTS brush kit but I've had problems working in3/4 time. @Lynn Wilson Thanks for the compliments , I think I'm calling this one "done" for now. I need to get away from it before I Really mess it up. I think I'm going to start using Soundcloud for early mixes and Sounclick for the final mix. I really liked the streaming quality of your last song . Thanks mark

    Anyway

Another Masterpiece , I Loved the quick change at 0:48 , the heavily reverbed guitar break , and the quick piano change at the outro. All of them were Very creative. The kick and low percussion was perfect for this song. And then there are the Vocals ! You sounded very relaxed and the highs were Awesome .. mark
  4. Welcome back Lynn , from the sound of this one you need to break your computer more often ! Fantastic everywhere. I really liked the vocals and your choice of reverb. Great guitar work as well. You sure came back Strong. Killer job .. mark
  5. That sounded like a Really fun jam. I thought the slide guitar was real nice. I must admit I had to google melodica . I had no clue what one was. Sounds like with some processing it could easily be used for some Cajun or Zydeco music . Enjoyed it .. mark
  6. Hello guys , Thank You All for the Wonderful comments and suggestions! After listening and before anyone posted I started a remix. @garybrun I went back to mono and made some volume changes. I dropped the vocals 1.8 DB and moved a few phrases to get them more on point. First impressions are usually correct .. @Larry T. Thanks for your comment , I almost did a harmonica track but didn't have one in the right key. @Bert Guy I found the wood block , tambourine and the snare annoying and tamed them all. @jwnicholson78 I remember doing this one in a smoky piano bar , it was always requested when I'd play there. Good times .. @noynekker Thanks , that means a lot to me to come from a singer with your talent. The cigarettes are probably the reason I had to drop this a step and a half to get it sung .. @SupaReels that was quite a compliment , one of my favorites to do was a Joe Cocker/BB King song. May try it again someday. @Paul Bush I Really appreciate it , you've been on a roll yourself lately ! Thanks again , there's probably still room for improvement. mark
  7. Hello , I've been in a writing lull so I thought I'd do a jazz standard I used to perform. Weapons - TTS brush kit and upright bass , SI strings , Keyzone Classic piano , G&L tremolo electric and Godin nylon guitar. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and Any help on this one . Everything has been reworked. Special Thanks to @markno999 for additional drum work. Additional mixing and Mastering by @garybrun We Surrender .. mark https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14389141
  8. Some Really cool changes in this one Jack. One of the repeating changes really sounds like a Bowie move. I think a few spots could use some vocal volume automation , but nothing drastic or a deal breaker. I Really liked the song and the instrumentation. The mix sounded nice as well. Enjoyed it .. mark
  9. Gary , Great cover! Sure was nice hearing your deep "silky" vocals again. Sounded like a pro studio mix. I really enjoyed your take on this .. mark
  10. If I'm understanding you correctly , it sounds to me like your "snap to grid" setting isn't allowing you to drag the clip exactly where you want it ?? If this is the case , zoom in and turn the snap off.
  11. I believe that was taking "clear and smooth" to a new height for me. Chill for sure , it was all Beautiful .. mark

Lovely and to the point. I Really liked the kick drum especially in the first sections. I actually liked the vocal processing and how it sounded like you were close and singing quietly . It sounded natural as it would without adding too much reverb. Enjoyed the laid back listen .. mark
  13. I Really enjoyed that and wasn't ready for it to end. Nice touch putting in the oriental sounding phrases. Great photos as well . One thing I didn't like was , I recently did a song about living on a Mars colony and just noticed , I referred to one of the moons of "Saturn". Very Nice .. mark
  14. Great Song ! I loved the Power and also the Collins feel. I'm sure you'll play with the vocals more until you are satisfied. Have you ever tried a "whisper track" under the vocals for air? Sometimes it works great on select phrases. I'll sure be keeping an eye on this one . new subscriber .. mark
  15. Paul , a Rocker for sure ! Great guitar work and Very nice vocals. I feel the pain as far as the song's subject matter, I've tried to stop watching so much of the news here in the US. I'd look at 1:43 , it's sounding like more than a bass growl. You've come up with a top notch song here again .. Enjoyed it . mark
  16. Hey Gary , If this is your 1st mix I can't wait to hear how it changes. It already sounds Great ! Anything over a dozen tracks , I start getting confused. It sounds nice and balanced . No suggestions from me at this stage. Great Job .. mark
  17. Great song and vocals ! I'm surprised this one didn't come up sooner .. Very Nice. mark

Very Soothing and suspenseful at the same time. Kinda how Blade Runner music affects me. Great Job everywhere . mark
  19. @Cecelius2 I also use 44.1 in my DAW , but whenever I "import" a 48 khz wav file into a project , CbB automatically converts it to 44.1 Watch the top of the screen and you'll see a progress bar while it converts it. It happens pretty fast on my system. I do remember one time it didn't do it and I had timing problems. Deleted and reimported the file and it converted it the second time. I've never seen it but there may be a setting in preferences for this .. mark
  20. Hi Treesha , I gave it a couple of listens when you first posted it , but didn't want to prematurely respond with my first impressions. My first was the upfront vocals. I thought it was more of a reverb issue rather than volume. Second was the lack of a bass guitar. Played slowly and sustaining I think it would add a lot to the mix. Anyway .. both were confirmed. It's a great song and I think you sang it Very well. Hope to hear a remix .. Enjoyed it mark
  21. Great Job covering one of my favorite Beatles songs ! Very impressive especially for an early mix. Really Nice .. mark

Killer song ! I really liked the guitar/sax doubling , the Great guitar tone and of course the bass line. Your bass player Nailed it and I really liked the tasty filtering he used. Excellent mix ! mark
  23. Fantastic collection ! It's real nice to hear them all in one spot. You Always choose the greatest songs to cover , and usually not very "easy" ones. Thanks for all the work on this . Awesome .. mark
  24. "Feel good" and dance in the village music for sure. I love Irish music and you hit the spot here. I love this style but it has always eluded me as far as playing it. Great Job ! mark
  25. Those were some Really Cool reverse tactics. Very smooth. Time to sing one backwards .. Loved it .. mark
