  1. Think I said this already, but just to reiterate - many thanks to Jesse, Noel, Mark and all the Staff for staying engaged and providing as much input/details as they can. Don't think you'll find that much direct / hands on involvement from many software companies.
  2. Anyone know why I don't (and have never) seen all my Versions of Sonar under "Connected Products" in Command Center? I have licenses for X1, X2, etc. but only see Platinum in Command Center. I've already got all the installers downloaded and backed up for safekeeping, but was wondering if I could download some of the unique plugins that came with prior versions (without running the installers) - if that is even possible.
  3. Sounds good - best of luck on the gigs!
  4. John, will you be able to re-post your tutorials under the new name? I've learned a lot from them and have many more I'd like to watch. Great stuff!
  5. Thanks to Noel and team for staying engaged and offering as much info as possible. That, in my opinion, is already a good sign - and not something you typically get with other vendors.
  6. Hopefully the 'upgrade' will play nice with all our 3rd party plugins/instruments. I'd hate to have to reinstall/reauthorize tons of stuff.
  7. Yes Noel, I can. Will use that to download. Thanks.
  8. Noel Borthwick, Command Center is offline. I wanted to download a lot of the things I paid for in the past. Are we out of luck?
  9. Thanks JohnnyV. I'll try the custom install option and try to get all the old goodies in place before the big changes come.
  10. Thanks scook! I did a search and did not find that topic - sorry for the redundancy! I'll test it out. With all the changes happening want to make sure I get access to all the older stuff I paid for before they possibly disappear...
  11. I bought licenses for many Cakewalk/Sonar versions over the years and have access to them through my Command Center account. Unfortunately, I did not know about the best install sequence (older versions first / CbB last) so that you get access to all the plugins that came with the older versions - and I'm too far in to consider a fresh install of Windows 10/11. Question: Would it be possible to install the older versions in a Windows Hyper-V Virtual Machine, export the plugins/FX (or copy the relevant DLL, etc. files), then import them into CbB? Has anyone done/tried that?
  12. Ed, I see your point and hope that is not the case. However, even if they opt for a realistic price (and NOT the dreaded subscription model) for future upgrades I'd be OK with that (i.e., you don't have to upgrade unless you want the new features). As we all know, nothing is truly "free". I'd be happy to support the Bakers - they've done really great work on this great DAW.
  13. Singapore-based BandLab Technologies raises $25M at $415M valuation | TechCrunch: https://techcrunch.com/2023/05/23/bandlab-b1/?fbclid=IwAR3grYc2jux-DMuYj-th-WQcZcKmH-RZF041ybUVSQgThaFXF380xG8ctWI
  14. They are amazing! Makes me either want to practice - or give up. :^)
  15. Spend less time buying, playing with plugins and more time practicing and writing. I am sooo guilty of neglecting the advice I just gave…
  16. Thanks Tom. I did more testing and I get the same results for #2, some dropouts, some not. I guess I'll just live with it and see if the new update changes anything.
  17. DeeringAmps, I'm thinking it might be a Cakewalk issue. Tried these experiments as well: > Drag a midi clip from Cakewalk to EZD3 - audio engine drops out. >Drag a midi clip from Cakewalk to my PC Desktop area - audio engine drops out?! > Drag the midi clip from Desktop back into Cakewalk - no drop out. > Drag the midi clip from Desktop into EZD3 drop zone (below Tap2Find) - no drop out. Can you replicate this? That would rule out my PC, midi clip, etc. as the culprit.
  18. Thanks Promidi! I don't use Firefox but I'll see if there is something similar for Edge or Chrome. I still find it strange that the topic Author is not clearly identified in the thread.
  19. Whenever I drag midi from Cakewalk to EZD3 midi drop zone (below Tap2Find) Cakewalk's audio engine drops out. Also happens with EZ Bass. Not sure if it is a Cakewalk issue or a Toontrack issue. If I drag a midi file from my Windows 10 PC to the midi drop zone the audio engine does not drop out, so I think it may be a Cakewalk issue? Anyone else experience this? Can anyone else re-create this on your system? If not then I know it has something to do with my setup.
  20. I think Moises is pretty good for what it does at the price point. Would love to hear from others who've found similar/better solutions.
  21. Moises does track separation and chord detection of audio
  22. Send me the WAV or MP3. I'll analyze it with Moises and send you the chords - and only charge $7.50 (half price!). Sorry, but no flashlight :^) But seriously folks - I've had good success with Moises (moises.ai). Pretty nifty. No affiliation - I just like it. I'm sure there are others - please chime in.
  23. Maybe I'm missing something - and maybe this is in the wrong forum area (since it's not Cakewalk 'improvement' feedback), so moderators please move if appropriate. When reading threads I don't see the Author of the post identified (like on most other forums). As I read the thread, I end up having to scroll back to the original post to see who the author is. Could be my error (not unusual :^) If the post Author is indeed not identified on the sidebar I'd like to request that as a feature added to the forums.
