It will deactivate itself once in a while when Windows does a major update. Not a big deal as they have one of the easiest systems to fix imo.

*Please turn off ad blockers to get access to free downloads No thank you, very much.

Not working for me, either

Heh, the whole reason I bought Scaler last year was because they were saying the update would be soon. I assumed we'd be getting it for free.

Can't stay in the past. I'd like them to be better at competing with the current market rather than getting left behind in the dust like they have been. There needs to be more options in AD. I'd like more kit pieces per kit for one rather than having to setup two different instances. Sound and internal processing wise, it's not even on the same level as Superior Drummer any longer. It's certainly not bad but what's the point of not further developing? Not like they are doing much with it as it is.

God I hope it's AD3. I mean, I can keep hoping but I'm starting to think they threw in the towel with drums.

Sadly, Icon is really shoddy. I've looked into their stuff a few times now because they are really attractive for both the price and the job but they have issues with both software and hardware quality.

I personally prefer rent to own but they usually don't do actual deals in this. The way I look at it, I look at plugins I bought a decade ago and most I no longer even use. This type of subscription gives a lot of plugins that would cost thousands for a cheap price and I could use them only as long as I need or as long as they are relevant to modern production then cancel and move on to new things or maybe they will swap them out. Either way, $120/yr isn't bad for something like this.

If only I didn't have so many of them already...

I picked it up just because I want some more percussion to layer.

Is there a list somewhere of all the plugins that have ProChannel modules?
-
Just registered mine without issue

I've once again began to email Roland to see if they would make the VS open source so we can get new, working drivers and software.
-
I think if they ever do another sale on the subscription as good as the initial one they sent, I might jump on it.

You should be able to remove the agreement from Paypal directly though so the charge wouldn't be able to go through even if they tried.
-
You should be able to kick them off Paypal if you used that as well so they will not be able to charge you.

We've had this for a while now. It's worth every penny even at full price which is only $20/yr for non-4k. -
With it being a pay site, how active is it and how many actual users are there on there?

Pretty much any subscription company does this whether it's cable companies giving people their first month free to try out or magazines. It's so you can continue your subscriptions without interruption (and because they hope you will forget). This is nothing new and they've been doing it this way for 30-some years. When they have freebies, I sub to them and then turn the subscription off right after I'm done. I get my 3 as they come out still so no worries.

I get why they are doing the temporary demos. A lot of companies are trying to give people something to do while everyone is on lockdown and hopefully eventually make customers out of them so it's part out of kindness and part advertising. I'm not too bothered by all the sales. They need to get them in while they can because a lot of people won't have the money for when typical spring and summer sales will happen this year, either.

I have both a survey code and my regular code to blow through... hmmmmmmmm

They are fantastic boards. They are designed for hardcore gamers which means lots of tweakability in BIOS with is great for what we're doing with audio.

I had to log in with Chrome to get them. It didn't like Firefox. Probably due to ad and script blockers.

I'm sure there will be. Looking forward to this one.
