Okay that's good to know, usually my issues eventually come down to user error. Still, it wasn't that way yesterday and then today I dnloaded the update before going to work on my project. At any rate I rarely pay attention to the bus outputs because I always keep them just routed to the master, I don't do any fancier routing. Anyway it's solved.

ANSWER: The update changed some of the bus outputs & also unchecked show in/out so I didn't catch it right away. If you hear "ghost tracks," check the bus outputs. I mentioned something similar in the ghost track post. My vocal track outputs to a vocal bus. When I solo the vocal track it comes through both the vocal and a delay bus. I thought it must be something off with the reverb send, even though that makes no sense so I deleted the send and is still outputs to both buses. If I mute either of the buses then there's no sound. I checked the track manager and no hidden tracks. This just happened after dnloading the latest update. Any ideas? Thanks

i just had a related issue, & i will read the post about sends Sailor55 listed. I have a vocal track with a delay send coming through to the delay bus even with the send turned off. Pre/post has no effect. Probably my error somehow, but how can a send be heard even when it's off? The workaround was just to delete the send.

I'm liking sonar so far, it seems improved over CBB. If I try a subscription for one year but didn't continue it, would I lose whatever updates or assets I get if I return to the free tier? Thanks

Is there some different usage or significance to the sonar cursor compared to cbb? Or is it just my graphics that make it look different? Thanks. Update I just realized maybe it's all in my head because I have a different color scheme now, so maybe I'm more aware of the cursor than I was in the past?

The views were in sync, but for some reason I had to expand the track folder in the track manager and then check it & it works now. Thanks for the help. No I won't uninstall CBB although I could use the space, but I'm moving to a new computer soon. That's a whole different issue, not quite sure how to get sonar back. I think my plugins are okay, they just weren't showing in the little box until I resized it. Rescanning is a good idea however. Grateful to be back on sonar in a more advanced version than the one I paid for. Sonar is a much cooler name than CBB!

Thanks i made the switch. I was putting it off bec it's disorienting at first. I can't see any plugs. I posted about that a while back & will need to look up the response.

I know there are no more activations but how will I know when I'm not able to save my CBB work? Maybe it will be obvious? Sorry if this is dumb...

update - it was the cache. I emptied the cache & it must have been too full. OK now. I'm trying to bounce clips -see track 3, & it doesn't work. I get a little busy message. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks! That got me started. FYI for anyone else who experiences this, I had tried moving those little handles but only one of them worked, for whatever reason. I finally disabled the navigator at the top or whatever that's called since I never use it, and then my effects appeared like magic. It will just take some time getting used to the new ui, not to mention when I get a new computer and go up to Windows 11 it will probably change the UI again. Thanks again.

I just opened the new sonar and there's something different about the FX rack, I can't quite understand how it works. It looks like I don't have access or able to view all of the FX at one time and have to go through a menu. I don't know if it's a real estate problem on my computer but it's quite different from CBB. Am I missing something, how do you use the new FX rack? Thanks update - there is a tiny scroll bar to the right of the 1 FX that is visible, as in channel strip 4 in the image. I can scroll between FX when there's more than one but can't see them all at once. In CBB the FX box (whatever it's called) used to grow larger with each new FX I add.

I would be willing to pay a one-time fee to keep CBB, in case anyone from the company is listening. If not and CBB disappears can we keep using sonar with the nag screen indefinitely?

This isn't exactly what you are asking about, but for vocals I really like neuro audio's Xvox pro, they claim it's not an algorithmic reverb but some kind of hybrid. However it is not a convolution but I really like the sound. You can do a free trial and in fact they may have another reverb they just came out with also for a free trial
