I have it. The "air" is a bit subtle but not exactly transparent, and is actually set way lower than what I'd consider "air" (plenty of 12k all the way down to 4k). I see people use Neve's like this a lot, and it's usually not for me. It's not a shelf, but wide enough where it sounds kinda like it. That said, totally cranked it's maybe a 6dB boost. It's probably best to compare it to something like RVox from Waves. It's simple and doesn't really give you great control, but is quite useable in subtle ways. I'd also think of it more like a complimenting tool you'd add into a chain you already have, or one you might even daisy chain into itself. If you are a hobbyist, I suggest waiting at least at the $29 price point we love so much.

I've seen some hardware controllers that I think come with the plug ins. I already own the plug ins so I'm not sure and as neato as the controllers are, they are generally pointless to someone like me. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/manufacturer/TC_Electronic I did cop one of the Clairty units that's on sale for $200.

TC Electronic PolyTune Clip Clip-on Polyphonic Tuner $24.99 They also got the UniTune Tuner for $16...

I enjoy this plug in but sometimes get weird pops (as if my audio buffer is set too low when it's not) when the audio 1st runs through it, then it's fine. I wish Decibel was fiddy hoff. I'd cop that riotneows.

https://www.fabfilter.com/shop?code=QigZtmbVrLNqmE57xhu9YLFZDvOw5znf There's a referral program that offers new buyers 10% off, and the referee gets a $12 credit for each purchase. I nominate CCLarry to provide a link.

I love the updates FabFilter does. I've always felt there are great value in any upgrade costs for the revised versions, and they clearly learn from user comment (Re: Timeless being a bit confusing, etc).

it is not part of Mercury.

It's included with : Pro Show SD7 Pro Show SSL 4000 Collection Studio Classics Collection So, yeah- that should cover you.

I copped it with GROOVE3 on the 10th for $74.25. Neaner, neaner, chicken deenner.

They are charging a shipping fee, so I'd assume it's phys.

I'm not sure the difference between the 151 and the 150, but something to consider for $10 more. Sterling Audio SP150/130 Studio Condenser Microphone Pack $79.99

They'll sometimes add a 'free' one onto one of the bundles. Re; the "Pick any 2" comes with 3 total and often at a sale price. Stop me if you already know this. I usually average them between $75-$100 pre plug in, but I tend to fill up on their stuff. Right now, the ones I'd like that I don't already own are the Dmx, C-Suite, the Api Pre/Channel strip, The newer SSL quad comp (I still haven't gotten around to upgrading), and that's about it. I either own or rent the other stuff at PA, so when I do a bundle, I tend to cop some guitar amps or something that are cool but definitely not a necessity.

They did have this holiday sale last year. The larger custom bundles meant a better deal. I'm guessing you can add it to a bundle during their BF sale, if they have one (UAD is on my BF list). Either way, paying $300 for this would be a chump move. I know UAD has been working on this for years to get it right. I'm real excited to try it out, but I'll probably drag my feet on a demo till we get closer to the inevitable sales.

$159.00

If you subscribe to their email, you get a link for 35% off making it $96.85. Seems pricey for a meter plug in, but the ability to link to other devices like multiple iPads is kinda neat.

Leapwing Audio UltraVox $49 (until December 6th 2021) Doesn't require iLok- I just had to enter my email and serial on launch of the plug in.
-
Best Buy, Dell, Sweetwater... price matched. Might wanna check the others if you have any other 'points' or stackable promos that are better than amazon.

Good question. I have several Mercury (and some others; SSL bundle, Abbey Road, NX, freebies, etc) bundles but jumped on this because we always have new rigs, and the powers that be don't want to give up the auth's on the other iLoks for the new rigs. Cheap solution to a dumb problem. I'd be happy to sit on this auth till the time comes that I need to install it.
