Oh I think that's an upgrade from 3 MAX. Lowest it looks like I could get is 199.00 with 30% off for jam points. Never mind.
-
I only had Total Studio 2 Max . To make things more complicated I bought several items that are included in 3.5 MAX, so my advantage is not HUGE in going from 2 to 3.5, especially since I will likely pick up a bunch of the Syntronic synths I don't have in the GB. Wondering though if I bought 3.5 how much of a discount that will give me when 4 comes out? Not sure is this is accurate on Musician's friend. It's 3.5 MAX download HERE Should I jump on this to get 4 MAX for less later @cclarry? I think it has MODO 1.5 which is nice. I already have ST4 MAX so not much to gain there. My main motivation would be to get a better upgrade price on MAX 4

Thanks. I was looking for a one link wonder. No such thing. I guess we aren't up to the max yet. If I buy in now then I'll get the rest after the final tally, whatever the 'rest' ends up to be. I wanted to download all that I can since it seems Syntronic 1 sounds are not quite as baked as these are. I'm getting a "promo" indication on the ones that are covered so far. I am indeed showing a Syntronic CS now instead of Syntronic 2 in my user area so I'll be adding more than I originally thought.

Is the sale still on? I didn't get a chance to buy it over the weekend. I went to the IK site and didn't see a link. Sure I seen the group buy promo but no link to actually buy it.

For a computer enthusiasts it's all about the latest and the fastest. For the DAW or video editor, the question is- What do I need to make this happen? Most of us want some overkill just in case. I still haven't changed up my old system *yet*. I haven't had a need to do so but I'm beginning to feel the impending pinch of advancing more demanding software. I really like win 10 pro and am not especially crazy about jumping to win 11 any time soon. Any time a new product is released I wait until the dust settles and then I look at the competition.

Total mess up with Revo uninstaller vs. Product managers
Tim Smith replied to kitekrazy1's topic in The Coffee House
You are a way bolder man than I am on this. I am in a loop of procrastination which works well for me until it doesn't. I have experienced the same issues with NI being slow. The others are similar to poking a wasp nest with a stick hoping not to get stung. If I took note of all my stuff and wiped everything for a fresh start I would probably think I had a new DAW. You are giving me some confidence here. -
The Little Things That Make Us Temporarily Happy
Tim Smith replied to Tim Smith's topic in The Coffee House
Oatmeal pies, corned beef hash with scambled eggs, steak on the grill, sardines, brussels sprouts, lima beans, red beet eggs Not always all of it together. -
I had to search vindaloo. You know those concentrated cleaners where you only need a small amount? I am capable of melting polyester. How did I get on that? This is about a coffee house being a coffee house. I guess if we didn't have mods, things could get very bad very quickly. If we were unmodded what would we be? So yeah I think we need it. It gets over used and over played on some forums. I have had a few of my posts yanked. I didn't think they were extreme or I would not have posted them. I remember the english chick here with the guns. She was tough. This would have been pre CbB days. I'm sure she was a nice person at heart, unless she was trying to shoot you.?

I might hold off some until they get this sorted at the install level. Last evening I went through my Syntronik 2 preset sounds and they seemed rather sparse or maybe it is the CS version. I will need to check this.. Possibly some of those installed into a different location as well. I had similar issues with Philharmonic 2 involving missing file locations when I didn't make any changes to anything. If I access Syntronik 2 sounds from inside of ST4 they all show up as independent in my instruments list. If I launch Syntronik 2 as a plugin independently in a DAW then I see the navigation panel. I am guessing this is how it should be. I was really hoping I could just buy the product and install it without a lot of hassle. Oh well.

Kudos to cclarry for all he does. "Bow to the king" is a bit much for me. I won't be doing any bowing to him lol. Thanks cclarry!

I have Syntronic 2 and didn't know it. Goes to show how much I use this lol. So I guess I'm into this for 11 synths to get the equivalent of MAX unless those selections are not in the selection pane.

That right there is an amalgamation of imagination..

Anyways. I hope you are feeling better today Rain.

I have plenty of Jam Points so no worries there. 35.00 isn't too shabby. Not shabby at all. TBH I would be in no hurry to download them, but I guess we have a time limit or we get popped with that extra 10. My preference would be- Some time within the next few weeks.Even if I just park the zips.

Arturia Analog Lab V vs Syntronik Opinions
Tim Smith replied to dubdisciple's topic in Instruments & Effects
In any case I'm probably going to cave on the IK group buy from my Syntronik 1 collection. I have Syntronic 2 CS. Can't ever have too many synths. Or can you? -
I don't need these. Why did I come here? Hey this looks tempting! ? Maybe I could use a few of these. Probably wouldn't hurt to have them laying around just in case. Right?
-
Scanning too many plugins. Must be in Bapu mode.

Looking forward to hearing how it all went.

Arturia Analog Lab V vs Syntronik Opinions
Tim Smith replied to dubdisciple's topic in Instruments & Effects
I tended to favor the Arturia route as well. Some things look great on paper or in the spec. However in real life use I simply need certain sounds and Arturia has them custom tied to my controller. Syntronic is a great bunch of synths too. Since I don't tend to modify my sounds extensively or build custom sounds and since I found something that works for me in Arturia, I seldom reach for anything Syntronik. The sounds in the Arturia collections are plenty amazing. -
For some reason Cakewalk does not see the "AC Interface". If you are not using this interface as a midi input I would delete it from the list of midi devices or select another device.
