The Little Things That Make Us Temporarily Happy
Tim Smith replied to Tim Smith's topic in The Coffee House
? I like my mattress too, but dirt will do. Jersey right? Watch out for the Jersey Devil.?No I'm not talking about my ex. You know, we get those here too in the evening and there's something relaxing about watching them. Except for that time one of them was trying to eat the insects that had landed on me. I'm hooked on weird YouTube videos...which is 99% of YouTube. That sounds like an interesting combination. I've been drinking Lapsang Souchong. It's a smoked black Chinese tea. Coffee will do for me too. What!!! I can't possible have much in common with Rain! I guess I do. You know if I lived in LV I would probably do nights as well if I could. It's hot in the daytime. -
I would be very Leary of holding anything , especially since I'm not quite sure if "alembic" is code speak.
-
Oh yeah. I really get excited about AI. It will eliminate the need to use anything I've learned about mixing over the last 20 years.
-
You probably own most all of them maybe? It's kinds hard to buy something when you own all of it already. Of course there is the next version to get all excited about. LOOK! They added a new skin to it. Now we can use COLORS. Oh, and there's new knobs. I don't know what they do but they sure do look purdy.

Yeah but she was sorely disappointed when she rounded the corner and seen me.

There's one hot tamalie I won't get into but it's wonderful. I don't think I get enough of it. If you're over 25 and you still don't know what it is, I'm not about to tell you. For me...finding that container of cottage cheese in the fridge I had forgotten I bought. This is almost like striking gold. Waking up thinking it's Monday and it's really Saturday or Sunday ( this never happens). The working man's plight. Clean socks that actually fit. Getting a wonderful music idea and having the mind to save it before my computer dies. Actually improving on playing my instruments. Compliments from my music instructor. The smell of smoked ribs, chicken and steak. Not necessarily in that order, so long as it's in my back yard and not my neighbor's. Nothing worse than hanging around the fence with nothing but a smell. A cold beer in the evening after a long sweaty day in the yard. What else?

I don't get as excited about plugins anymore. I'm probably pulling the guys down over on the deals thread. Everything seems to be Meh meh meh. everyone else is like " LOOK AT THAT" and I'm just like meh. I was in the process of a meh and hurt myself in the process. I suddenly let out a MEHOW. I think I friended a couple of cats.

My guess is Bapu owns this one. It pairs well with the alembic....or does it?

In an effort to be different. Stick out in the crowd. He accomplished that. Feet are (almost) the ugliest thing on a human body. Even cute feet are ugly. If you have them lopsided toes, get on out of here or put on some socks

People get concerned when they see a person play hair air guitar. It's a little different technique.
-
That guitar needs the toes filed.

I got really good deals on all of mine.

About as punctual as it could ever be.

Mackie CR3-X 3" Powered Studio Monitors (Pair) Limited Edition Gold Trim
Tim Smith replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I had a Mackie mixer, actually it's still buried somewhere under a bunch of stuff. Great mixers. Never owned Mackie Monitors. At one time they were only high end. They have gone through lots of ch ch ch changes over the years. -
Thinking about doing a micro build

Does this setup use water cooling? -
I'm actually pretty good at that, and I have quite a collection.

The "Impressor" I could have used that when I was 18.

Mackie CR3-X 3" Powered Studio Monitors (Pair) Limited Edition Gold Trim

This is actually kinda scary. Mackie monitors for 69.00? I need to check to see if I skipped dimensions here. -
The older our ears get the better some of it sounds. No?
-
So this is what happens to old coders?

Exported audio sounds different on different speakers?
Tim Smith replied to Ron Pipes's topic in Production Techniques
Another very important thing is monitor height and position to your ears. A triangle configuration is generally recommended, but often HEIGHT is not mentioned. You will want the monitors at ear height, not below your ears and about 3ft away minimum. You need to be able to pick up the detail coming from the tweeters as well as bass detail.
