    They Lied

Hi Larry T., thanks for listening and your interesting comment. Gives me a lot to think about, your overview perspective of my songs. In a good way. I appreciate your comment very much and glad you think its nice work and cool, especially since it came from a difficult place. I value feedback on the song forum very much. Thanks again!

    Tight Wire

Sounds really good. It is pretty full sounding and a bit complicated rhythmically and doesn’t sound bare bones at all. Easy to get lost in this one. Nice.

    Synchronicity

Sounds lovely, relaxing, summery. Sometimes what we try for is not what we wind up with ha. I don’t think the backup singers are over the top. Nice one.

    Phantisized

Very lovely intro. The piano sounds great. Nice movements into the different sections. Sounds emotional and passionate. I was getting a bit of overtones/resonances in the very highest notes (not sure what the right description would be), maybe just my system or my ears ha. Well done.
  5. I like it. I know what you mean about listening to a song in progress and hearing stuff to improve. Intriguing title. Good instruments playing. Good dynamics and changes. Keep at it till you are happy with it.

Hi freddy j, thanks for listening and your feedback. Glad you liked the way I did the vocal parts and the effect, It is pretty different for me to make a song in this style but it had to be this way. I'm thoroughly enjoying your positive comment !

Hi Bjorn, thanks for listening and sharing your immediate and 2nd reaction. Glad it grew on you. Doubt I will ever use this style again but it all carried how I was feeling. I had a hard time mixing it so ty for the nicely done. Now back to normal singing,,,

    My Head has Gone

Really well done. Very polished. Moody and smooth. Ethereal with a beat. Great work !
  12. Sounds boomin. I like the image too. You know what you are doing.
  13. Thanks for the history lesson! I enjoyed the song and the very cool video. Had to chuckle at what I think was a nun in the middle of the dance. Sounds and looks very good, you really captured the mood and meaning. Been a while since I heard needle sounds. Great job

Spacious jazzy very well done. Clever. Thought of Steely Dan at times and Zappa at others. Nice instrumentation, good playing. Mix sounds good.
  16. Good song, well played and sung. Interesting character study. Condolences for the loss of your good friend who went down the road. Nice idea to post and share his music.
  17. One thing that can help sometimes is that I make a loop in the cakewalk timeline where the clip is, then apply melodyne, and sometimes it will open in the right place showing blobs.
  18. I have studio 5 and do get the empty openings so I don’t think it’s fixed in 5. There have been posts about this before.
  19. I've done it accidentally on the timeline, no idea how, oops
  20. I enjoyed your work, sounds like you had some challenges! I like the mix of influences and the vibe. As for feelings you are interested in knowing about, I think the song expresses Grief. Passion. Sadness. Mystery. I saw on your bandcamp it says you are in Phoenix, did you lose everything in a AZ wildfire or a non-wildfire blaze? I’m outside Prescott and several years back I was mandatory evacuated from a close wildfire and on the run like they are doing in LA now. Fortunately, no homes were destroyed but it was traumatic in its own way to be threatened with total loss. Of course I made a song and art about it ha. Im sorry for what you experienced and enjoyed the art and music you made to process your feelings.
  21. This version sounds richer if I remember the first version correctly. Yes Kudos.
  22. Nice rhythm and groove. Everything compliments each other. Solid backing vocals and guitar. Bass catchy. I really like it, its fun and sounds good, enjoyed it

    They Lied

Hi mark, Thanks for listening and your feedback. And the memories... yes punk, this song is about the only one or one of a few Ive ever written with this kind of energy. I meant it that way and glad it came thru that way. Glad to know you enjoyed it even in its angsti-ness, and it brought back memories of those crazy unique times. Cool. Treesha
