Just a guess, but could it be that the latest update uses features in 7? Seems fairly strange considering it's a relatively old library. Edit: Never mind - I misread your post and didn't realise you already have 7 installed

Wow. I do this just for fun and have no interest in Musio so this doubly isn't an issue for me. I do wonder what it means for library music/soundtrack composers though. I kind of see this as an experiment. Hopefully the movement won't encourage others to go down this route too. It's funny - back when I was starting out, I had some Waves collections in my wishlist. As time went on I ended up buying plugins from other developers for better prices (this was before the $29.99 movement). I ended up with enough such that I never did end up buying anything from Waves. I have some freebies, but I could never get myself to install them because of the licensing scheme and WUP.

I agree. It was just a rarer form of subscription where you get to keep using the product when you stop paying. Other examples of this model include HitFilm (video production) and ReSharper (software development plugin).
-
Are you sure? I thought this was Cinesamples' version of Composer Cloud, i.e. you can 'keep' it if you bounce it. I could be wrong: I'm not interested in a subscription product, and haven't read the fine print.

Also free this week is World of Warships — Starter Pack: Ishizuchi. It's an add-on, but the base game is free too.

Ah... I didn't think those would count. As far as I know, those files that begin ._ are Mac metadata files. Not being a Mac user, I usually do a find for them and delete them all. Off the top of my head, I think the other common Mac files are .ds_store.

@Fwrend Did you rename the library folder by any chance? I'm still using Native Access 1, but adding libraries can fail if the folder name isn't as it expects it to be. Typically the folder name is the same as the product name (which seems to be the case from your screenshots), but it can sometimes be different, e.g. using underscores instead of spaces; or having the developer's name in the folder.

My guess is that this means we no longer create Kontakt Player libraries that need authorisation via Native Access.

I know it isn't, but it looks remarkably like the Spitfire Audio player interface- 2 replies

What type of music do you make, or what type of instruments do you like?
-
It sounds great - I may have to play around with Sandman Pro a bit more!
-
Very nice tune, @Steve K. What's that instrument that sounds a bit like a waterphone? It's goes really well with the overall vibe.
-
If you do, don't forget to download all of the sounds within the download-window.

Maybe that's the total price of all the individual titles at list price?
-
I think the value of your voucher is based on how much you have spent at their store within a certain timeframe (e.g. last x months); not how many plugins in total you have licences for.

Open the PA Installation Manger and click on My Trials. It's not perfect (not all PA software installs from there), but it certainly helps to narrow down what you don't have.
-
Unfortunately, I'd need to get a loan from someone else before I could loan to you.
-
My bad - I only saw that it was a large drive; I didn't look at the price. I was just thinking of safe backup strategies.

Buy two and mirror them. Quite unlikely both would fail at the same time.

Hmm... I wonder if something is happening at PA. ADPTR, Shadow hills, Black Box Analog Design all now available at PB. Or maybe it's just PA expanding where they're selling to drive overall sales?

The problem with tambourines (and shakers) is that they're quite hard to do with samples and MIDI, just because of the way that all of the elements that make sound interact with each other. Maybe have you considered something like: https://klevgrand.com/products/skaka or (though more expensive) https://insessionaudio.com/products/shimmer-shake-strike-2/

If you're looking for new fans, it's worth giving Noctua a look. The colours might not appeal to some, but I don't see that as a problem as they go inside the case.

Don't know if the situation is still the same, but I seem to remember @Jim Roseberry saying that AMDs can be faster, but only for parallel processing, e.g. rendering video. Intel still rules for more single threaded uses like pushing audio through with low latencies. I also seem to remember Jim saying that Intel chips were easier to keep cool, compared to a similar model from AMD.
