  1. Ian Dury and the Blockheads..... thats who you remind me off with this track. Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick!! ?
  2. Hi Barry. I really like this track of yours ... especially your vocals. NICE!! Only comment from me would be... listen in mono... you background noise doesn't exist!
  3. I dont know what is about your music. It just makes me smile now... (a few years ago it was pulling my hair out) If anyone can do a song a day for a month... its definitely you mate. Well done... looking forward to them all... only 28 to go!!! ?
  4. I was born in 1964 I remember buying a Jackson album... around the time of bat Out Of hell
  5. If I remember correctly... around this time.. I bought Dare by Human League... Some Barbra Streisand Album... dont remember what. Never liked Floyd... or listened to them. Dire Straights and Chris Rea (who formed a band together called diarheia) ? Say Hello Wave Good Bye... think it was soft cell?? Michael Jackson Bad?? WOW... memories.!! My first ever record was "December 63" Four Seasons. My first album "Bridge over Troubled Waters""
  6. @John Bradley well done. I remember buying Bat Out Of Hell when it first came out!!! Boy Im feel old now!! I love the way you break down your process of mixing and composition. Well done!!
  7. I thought this was a clever composition. To me it had some overtones of an Arabic feel but thats just my take on it. Also regarding Bob Dylan,,, I thought his songwriting skills where great... but he couldn't sing for sahit!! One thing I have learned being a cake walk user.. think nearly three decades now!! Is I have learnt to appreciate everyone paints different pictures. Some of the music posted on here in the songs forum I could never get my head around. Some I have learnt to appreciate the creative part and tried to listen with "open ears".. but others I have no chance!! Never be afraid to speak your mind and say things in honesty and courtesy!! I would love to have a part of the forum where people could actually rip my music to pieces.. as thats the way I learn. Sometimes I believe on here we can be too polite! Its just finding the balance for us oldies and the new comers. Putting all that aside... @jsg Great peace of work!!!
  8. Nice job Barry. Had me laughing from the start... loved the burps too. ?
  9. @Barry Seymour thanks so much for the listen and the feedback. Thats what Im looking for... brilliant ? sometimes I do sleep a lot... one day does not equal middle of the day... well maybe after a good session on the wine.!! Worship by the door= worship and adore... so need to fix that ?

    SONG: Easing Up

Glad you sorted it. When we are mixing our own personal stuff we miss things because we are so used to the song.... they dont pop out. Thats why its good to have other ears listen

  18. Thanks for you understanding pal. Thats quite a good explanation there regarding that I may be lunch ?
  19. Thanks @mark skinner To be honest I dont know what sort of sound I was going for... just my sound. I cant really harmonize... but could do the bass... so I thought I would try that to see if it worked. Was thinking of using the bass vocal to echo some phrases in the verses instead of using it in the chorus's. Once again thanks for taking the time to listen.
  20. Very spooky stuff. clever. It felt nightmareish!! The older I get the harder it is to listen to music like this (disjointed) and I mean that in a positive way. Is it because we are sat at our benches listening to music in a standard melodic way?? The strange thing is when Im doing live work every-week I can spot an instrument out of tune straight away and it cuts through me. Also find I dont enjoy concerts if a band is out of tune etc. Are we influenced by our daily listening preferences that we are not able to a certain existent to appreciate other kinds of music??? Some might not call it music?? My grandfather wouldn't for sure... lol One genre I cant get into is trash metal... its just a massive noise to me. So there is not a misunderstanding I am not knocking wookies music... just bringing up a theme about music I have been thinking a lot about lately. How to appreciate other genre.
  21. Brilliant mix and track. Drums are really pumping. Talented man!!
