  1. I'm not sure I wanted to know that you used to handle 6 foot 8 clowns Kenny. That's definitely not an image I had for you... ? I seem to recall seeing him on The Noise The Voice or America's Got Nausea America's Got Talent and, while they appreciated his talent, they didn't think much of his clown act.
  2. Well, I am a lot taller, was WAAAAAAY better at beach volleyball than he ever was in Top Gun (even with the much shorter net), and I could probably still beat him at pool (I won a couple of tournaments when I was young). ? Actually, you literally couldn't give me enough money for me to change my life with his. I once worked with a girl who had gone out with him; she was unimpressed and called him "short and arrogant." LOL. In fact, the main thing I would have changed in my life back then would have been to go out with the girls "I" wanted to and not the ones that everyone else wishes they could have gone out with. Let's just say that there are a LOT of plastic people in Southern California.
  3. Is that when the only other choice is to have to listen to a "Karen" screaming? ?
  4. There's soooo much I miss about that time of my life (and a few things I definitely would have done differently!). Oh, well. Time moves on!
  5. Reminds me of that time someone Slashed my tire... ?
  6. Wow, will you look at that??? Mick, back when he was just a young girl! ?
  7. Funny stuff Dave! My live playing days ended in 1984 when I broke my arm real nasty and couldn't use my left arm for months. This is actually why I discovered Cakewalk! I was able to enter notes in mathematically (and then using a dead MIDI keyboard) and still make some noise. That said, I did play roadie for a few gigs with friend's bands and I was always VERY methodical and OCD about things. Everything was labeled, stored where I knew its location and with backup gear. All of my personal gear tended to stay only in my studio. You can see my Octavia on the left-side of this pic:
  8. I still remember MAD Magazine cartoons from the 60's and 70's that were predicting future things. One I that I still recall had a lady who accidentally dropped the fake mask she would use for video conferencing. It revealed that she was only in night attire and rollers. LOL! [Note that I have had to do Teams, Skype and Zoom meetings, but "sorry, my computer camera doesn't work!" ? ]
  9. In my best work times I made a LOT of money and, being of a very athletic build, used to wear custom suits and ties. I also understood that the correct tie (knotted properly) was supposed to "tie" in the colors of the suit, shirt and pocket square. Now I literally do most of my work in shorts and a t-shirt with bare feet (ahh!). That said, I like his tie and it would have probably found a home in the 80+ I still have and never wear. This thread makes me realize just how much things have changed! On "Casual Fridays" I didn't have to wear a suit and this is what I got to wear the below instead. If I were to wear this to a client now, I'd be considered over-dressed! Weird...
  10. I got the notice about this, but forgot about it until now (I'll put it on the "to get" list after I get paid - got a couple there already). I've got albums from three different Magenta's: English (as I call them - a bit more folksy), Welsh (prog - like 'em!) and Norwegian (which is one of my guilty pleasures - My favorite album from them - Art and Accidents).
  11. Just heard about a guy who proved that wearing a con-dom doesn't always protect you. He was still wearing his when he got shot by the girl's boyfriend... [Edit: WTF is wrong with the censor bot here??? It censors normal words, but doesn't do shit for the ones you would expect to be censored!]
  12. But can you get away with playing the "forbidden riff" at GC, if you tell them you're only playing the Gilligan's Island theme? ?
  13. That one keeps coming up on my YouTube feed, but I've been too afraid to watch it! LOL.
  14. Is that Peter Bus Les bian?
  15. I can't see what you did there.
  16. Black Mics Matter! ? (This was my favorite for voice-over work.)
  17. Hehe... Funny stuff Dave, but I couldn't help getting pictures in my head of Flea acting like a complete spaz.
  18. I see what you did there!
  19. Hey, what can I say? I'm a rebel. I like to speak the unspoken stuff and answer hypothetical questions too! ?
