  11. Lucky you! The generator below was supposed to come with the house but, the day before I was to get my keys, the previous owner stole it (long story!). The did leave me the $1,800 transfer box though (which holds the batteries and handles the switch from power company to generator). Fortunately, Troutdale had just had its electric put underground so I didn't have as many issues.

  13. Cymatics - (from Ancient Greek: κῦμα, romanized: kŷma, lit. 'wave') is a subset of modal vibrational phenomena. The term was coined by Swiss physician Hans Jenny (1904–1972). Typically the surface of a plate, diaphragm, or membrane is vibrated, and regions of maximum and minimum displacement are made visible in a thin coating of particles, paste, or liquid.[1] Different patterns emerge in the excitatory medium depending on the geometry of the plate and the driving frequency. I think these would make awesome wall art! Maybe someday... Enjoy!
  14. Let me know once you're in town and I'll steer you down a few wrong directions I can try to answer any questions you might have! ?
  15. Note that the strongest winds are from the East, but the trees are ready for that direction. Here's what happens when a strong wind comes from the South: My house in Troutdale: The house I had my Mom in in Gresham:
