  1. As I said in the PM I bought one of those and it will work but not road worthy. Along with the Stealth I also used to use a Pedal that was originally sold for dictation. It’s built like a tank. But make sure it works with other software. There are lots of single foot switch pedals too.
  2. I don’t understand the problem? You copy and paste to any place in a song anything you want. Exact placement is a matter of learning how to use the tools properly. lots of tutorials on the subject of pasting audio or midi.
  3. Do you see midi data in track view? Does the track playback audio?
  4. See I was right. And it doesn’t matter if wired or wired the internet will sometimes start doing stuff in the background that kills recording. Been like this forever. There is also the issue of the ridiculous high buffer settings and possibly the old school external drive. For $100 you could get a SSD external which is well worth a try. I have used one for a long time when I’m jumping between my 2 computers and never had issues. And as far as the internet goes I just disable it in the network settings. Easy to turn back on.
  5. But what the op is asking about is that they can stand 10’ from the computer and Cakewalk will stop and rewind to the beginning when it reaches the end. All those toggles still require human interactions
  6. Are you in the note range of what you recorded? You might be up or down a few octaves.
  7. It doesn’t. It’s not a media player it’s a recording DAW. You are expected to be awake and in control.

    Asio

They didn’t explain that correctly. What the op was doing was running 2 applications that both used ASIO That’s not an issue. I sometimes have 4 audio apps open using ASIO. As long as they are all using the same sample rate they will run
  9. It’s part of your workspace set up. it’s just been minimized use the double arrow to open it again.
  10. Yes they call those stems. As long as he starts all tracks at zero.
  11. Here’s the link https://stealthswitch3.com/
  12. In my signature is a link to my tutorials. I have a few that clearly explain how to get started with midi
  13. Exactly what I said in my first post. # 1 cause of issues ( sometimes) Especially laptops. I always found disabling the Wi FI resolved my audio playback issues back in W XP days. Lately I've become none complacent and often leave my wi fi running. But the other night it attacked my system once again. Probably some app trying to update in the background.
  14. I use the Stealth USB box with 4 Standard Foot Switch’s. You can program it to any keystrokes You can definitely control Cakewalk with it. And once programmed it can be connected to any computer with out needing specific software. The foot switch could be put anywhere. A door bell button would work
  15. You should not use input echo to record audio tracks unless your using guitar sims. Use your audio interfaces direct monitoring system. I've heard where you can actually have issues if you use a super high buffer setting. Most folks use around 256. But I think a Lynx is one of the better performers.
  16. Open Console view. Drag your audio interfaces strips from the right hand side. Now mute the master bus. Observe the Audio interface meters. if they are still showing a signal then a track is outputting directly to them. Check the output settings of any sub busses. They should all be going to your master buss including any effects busses. Check there are no axillary sends routed directly to the interface. There's no need to rebuild this, projects do get corrupted but the signal path cannot be corrupted. One other item is it looks like you’re using on board audio. Make sure you use WASAPI mode and not ASIO

    Bus in / out gain

It kinda sucks that someone decided it would be better to set the Track Control to exclude some important features by default. This has got to be the 10 th post with the same simple solution in the the last short while. it was said that they did this to help newcomers??

    Lost Stereo Output

The Focusrite use a software mixer that’s a bit complicated not sure if yours uses the old Mix Control or the new version. But the default if you re set it to that is for 1/2 to be your Master outputs. Make sure you plug your studio monitors in to that. Your Cakewalk audio tracks and instrument tracks should all be set to go to your master bus In my signature is links to my tutorials. Watch my latest video about basic set up

  20. Turn of your internet. I had to do this last night. Normally it never causes problems but out of the blue I was getting a drop out on a project that I just started. I upped my buffers a bit and it still happened. It happened about 5 times and I then disabled the internet and it never came back.
  21. Ya I got it for $30. Version 14. I just upgraded to 17 for another $35 The cool thing about that is I can install on 4 machines now. Nothing wrong with 14. I barely noticed the difference
  22. Did you try a search of your hard drive? Type the missing file name into search. A save as should stop Cakewalk from looking for those files as it will create a new project and audio folder if you "save as" outside the old project folder. Make sure to check "copy audio" option first.
  23. Did you delete the tracks in Cakewalk? If you deleted them in the audio folder in Windows explorer then you've made a mess of it. If they are still in the recycle bin restore them and then delete them from within Cakewalk. Otherwise you can try doing a "save as" of the project.
  24. First thing obviously is to look at the instruments track strip meter. Is it red lining? Open the event list and see if there are any CC 7 or CC11 events. You can also look in PVR in the controller pane.
