I can handle Bach, that is very kind of you Tom his music is genius. I love his organ pieces. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.

    Thanks Daryl.
  6. The first 2 minutes give the feel to the prelude to battle. As it progresses you get the mood change as the armies approach each other. The around the 4:00 mark they engage. Nicely done Colin.

Thank you Steve, hopefully when I get all the c r a p sorted out I will get some time to catch up on the music you guy's here are making, I miss not listening to the diverse and some of the eclectic voices that use music to communicate.

Never had lesson for anything other than the House drummer from Bird Cage, a London night club, teaching me to swing when I played drums. Musical influences, anything that has made my furry ears it up, say hey this good you should pay more attention. My dad loved show tunes and some Sinatra, Doris Day and the like. My mum she was more classical apparently she did play piano before the war but that ended with that, consequently I never heard her play.. We did have a piano in the house when I was but a little Wookieelet, as soon as I could climb on the stool I started bashing away at it. Though it eventually died and M&D could not afford to save it, so one Guy Faulks it was scarified to the Gods of Fire and baked potatoes. I grew up with the Beatle's and the Stones seeing them both live in 63 and 64 respectively. The I joined the rebel alliance and fell in with strange long haired types, who sewed coloured vents in to the jeans and listened to strange other worldly music. Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues, Black Widow, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and the like, it sucked me in and I got lost on the blue smoke filled haze of their world. Then in my late teens I had a small disagreement with a road at sixty miles an hour, finally using my only furry head as brake, convertible car that rolled. The rest is history. Thanks for listening, nice to know you found this creative.

Thanks. The dissonance is just a G mixolydian with a flat 6. Makes for some interesting chords. Sorry to hear you have experienced this type of loss, it is hard for both.

Thanks, music is a universal language understood by all.
  18. @RexRed no mix comments as I listened on my phone, but it was still a pleasant listen and well written song.

Thank you Lynn, most definitely a loss, we still held hands when we sat together and when we were out walking

Thank you Mark, you are most kind. The horrible truth is she is probably quite unaware 80% of the time the other 20% who knows. Thanks again for your ongoing support.

  22. Not quite sure why we need a sub or 8 inch my Adam A7x's appear to be producing all the Bass that is present in this mix, they do go down to to 30Hz, but I will check this out on my 5.1 with its Bowers and Wilkens sub later. Nice track I too like the use of the Arab string tuning. Edit: As promised I have just listened to this again in Stereo plus the Bowers & Wilkins sub. I also listened in 5.1. The stereo plus sub sounds very similar to the Adam's, same amount of bass content. The 5.1 most of the mix comes from the centre speaker, which is again Bowers & Wilkins, very little stereo spread more a hint of the reverb content. There is a tad more bass in 5.1 but I suspect that has more to do with the centre speaker having a mix of left & right content summed. The main left and right speakers are original Epos ES 14.
  23. @Bajan Blue I have been listening to quite a bit of Divine Lie in the evenings on my TV with the 5.1 system via YouTube. All are impressive. This is as ever another example of your talents Nigel, along with your fellow band members a round of applause and
  24. Interesting I like the use of dissonant chords in the intro, the throaty screaming? lyrics do not appeal so much, as Nigel notes the lead guitar could do with some clarity. Not sure if it is just me but I think the ladies intro vocal could do with a little lift in volume too. All in all that track seems well composed and the mix is reasonable other than what I note above here on my Adams. As ever this is all very subjective it is after all your track and it should sound how you and the band want it too.
