msmcleod Posted March 24 Share Posted March 24 The range of the pitch wheel is fixed between -8192 and + 8191. How this is interpreted as far as pitch changes is up to the synth - it could be either a per patch or global setting. Most default to 2 semi-tones. Not all synth plugins allow you to change the pitch wheel range, and not all will allow up to an octave. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Promidi Posted March 24 Share Posted March 24 Pitch bend range is a setting defined in the synth itself. If you are using a GM/GS/XG compatible synth, then inserting an RPN 0 > 1536 in your MIDI track will set the given track’s bend range to 1 octave.
