Recording Midi from a Yamaha Tyros 1 to a different tracks on Cakewalk

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! I tried to Recording Midi from a Yamaha Tyros 1 to a different tracks on Cakewalk  but I can't figure it out how to do it,

any help will be appreciated, Thanks! ;)

PS: I just find it out that I have to record it on 16 different channels and not in "Omni" modus.....witch means that I have to

insert 16 tracks and put on each of them a midi channel from 1 to 16.

Why not just transfer it as a midi file? This way you will open it in Cakewalk and if you have no midi outputs chosen TTS-1 will play the song if it was using GM format

Heres how to transfer to a USB stick:?

You’re almost there.

Yes, you create 16 MIDI tracks.

The “MIDI channel” of each MIDI track is set to Channel 1 to 16 respectively.

Than set the input (under “In/Out”) of each MIDI track to match the MIDI channel.

Arm all MIDI tracks, then record.

If you are wanting to play an existing MIDI file, simple open it in CbB.
