trouble with cakewalk and korg nautilus

When I hit record in Cakewalk the local control on the Nautilus midi setup page, gets unchecked. record and playback work fine. As soon as I close the sequencer, I no longer get sound from the Nautilus. I have to boot it to get it back. I tried a cheapy free sequencer and it doesn't do this. There must be a setting in cakewalk for this but I am at a loss as to what it could be.  Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

It appears that Cakewalk is sending a LOCAL OFF message to the korg when you record.

What happens if you check local control on the Nautilus midi setup page.

In GLOBAL > MIDI, check the Local Control On check box.
