audio track gain not adjustable

Hello All,

If I open a new project from an original CBB template and insert an audio track and play bass guitar through it the tracks input gain knob does nothing.

I use a Motu M4 Usb Audio Interface.  CBB track input from Motu .

When inserting an audio track and importing audio to it the gain works. CBB track input set to None.

Any one has an idea?

I completely uninstalled Cakewalk and reinstalled afterwards. And did a Windows backup restore to some days before also but the problem persists.

Your audio interface is where all levels are adjusted for recording. Cakewalk only controls audio after it is recorded. 
You should also watch most of these videos if you’re new to Cakewalk. Start with #1 which is about setting up your system audio

Review the signal flow diagram

• Hardware audio inputs are after the gain control and
• Audio clips are before the gain control.

That was quick and to the point.

For six months I leveled on the MOTU and than in TH3 and never touched the track gain.
Today I added some effects to the track and leveled each one with its gain and then also turned track gain where nothing happened.

So you two learned me something.
