Can't use any Drum maps or install them

Margarida Fernandes

Question

Hello everyone!

I am new at this, but I was following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JGFTWxacQM And I wanted to install the Drum maps suggested in the video. It says to put them on C: ➔ Users ➔ [your user name] ➔ AppData ➔ Roaming ➔ Cakewalk ➔ Cakewalk Core ➔ Drum Maps in order to access them in "Plug in" -> "Instruments" on the right bar in CakeWalk. But none of this appear in the software, only "General MIDI" -> "CakeWalk TTS -1 ".

Attached I send the Drum kit I was trying to install.

Can someone help me ?

Thank you in advance

Drum map presets are not plug-in instruments that appear in the plug-in browser

Here is the documentation about drum maps. It saves a lot of typing.

The Studio Instrument Suite (including SI-Drums) is a separate install performed from the Install Addons... option found in the menu to the right of the CbB Open button in BandLab Assistant.

Once installed and scanned, the plug-ins will appear in the plug-in browser.

Also, Mike's video says:
Insert the SI Drums into the track pane. (You must have installed them, see above.)
Then he talks about downloading the drum map and where to put it.
Then he creates a new drum map. This is to load the downloaded drum map into the project.
Then he goes to the MIDI track of the drums and routes its output to the drum map.

You insert a drum instrument. You route its MIDI track through a drum map to the drum instrument.
