The result is simple yet effective. Most importantly, it sounds good. The main benefit of using this kind of synth is to be able to focus on the composition and arrangement instead of the sound you're playing with. Once you have something that sounds great with it, you know you'll be able to use other instruments and it'll always sound good. UltraBasic is also a good tool to learn sound synthesis, it's one of the rare synths to have all the different noise colors on board. UltraBasic is available as a 64-bit VST plugin instrument for Windows 8.1/10.
