Yep, there are two sides... Such effects (and many others) can be considered in fact as presets (or chains) of more complex ones. So could be replaced with bonus forcing us to be more creative... On the other side... They are providing fast way to reach goal so giving more time for music itself not tweaking, clicking, trying to much so big save for something which cannot be refunded in any way... Bot sure about this product but I bought from them ToneForge Jason Rickardson. Videos of course convinced me it had to be great. And good deal... First disappointment sound. Of course I have no skills comparable to Jason in any means but anyway any other my sims give me better experience. While I have no active pickups but anyway good sounding JEM and expected much more... In fact I am not using it... Second big dis was download is time limited and gives no hope even for updates if bugs found. Generally my lesson after wasting some bugs was to skip sim software you cannot demo by yourself with your own guitar and interface. Try demo STL Andy James if you are after heavy brutal tones.

I would not be afraid of that For home producers it is rare anyway to hire human session guitarists but in bigger productions when every minute count it is much faster for producer to hire approved session musician than try to do it with help of libs. Especially skilled guitarist can provide her/his own ideas to extend tune And nowadays many guitarist are prepared in her/his own home to record perfect track and send through net even not seeing destination studio... I am not sure if piano lessons will help anyway I think piano players are in bigger danger. Guitar has so many articulation nuances so in many situations any existing now lib cannot help

Maybe you could move your cache content for rollback into external disk. Or you can also put lib for waves into external and point to it from plugin. As @RSMcGuitar mentioned you can pick SD or HD version. The second is about 14.5GB on disk... Quite a big thing. Them more I was surprised with quality issues.

You mean plugin or lib? Lib install you can even skip during plugin installation and download it manually (available in downloads at Waves) and point to it in plugin later o.

If you are considering Bass Fingers I would recommend to download demo first and check. When I did it a little bit after release encountered some unexpected and not pleased issues inside library with intonation and sound. Not sure if it was addressed and fixed.

UBK1 yep, AR not yet There was a deal a while ago for UBK. I saw Mathew Weiss recommended it in his video. So I got it to test it and liked very much. Something like nothing I have so bought it AR in plans, probably on BF but who knows so many compressors but only 1 wallet

Zo, your videos convinced me to give a try for kush compressors and it ended with buy of uk1 (gorgeous thing btw). I am waiting for nice deal for AR and you are saying you you have another set of go-to ? Although to be honest I have no emulation for LA3 which many guys claim to be great for guitars.

Welcome to GAS family, Marc But anyway both Neutron 3 and Scheps Omni are outstanding But don't forget about Ozone8 which also can be used both as VST plug in DAW (with its brilliant modules) and external tool with capabilities to use 3rd party VST plugins. Pretty insane...

Just comparing tools provided you don't... You can do everything with izotope and even more... However the thing is they sound different (and this is one of reasons why it is so easy to be trapped by GAS). So if you would like to have more 'colors' you could go for it... But.... My advice is to skip all sales till BF (end of November) and use the time to master izotope suite. Do as many different tasks as possible. When you are master at izotope suite you will have better understanding what is lacking for you (if anything) and you will be able in fact do any task without any new buying.

Unfortunately PA is kind of pushing other manufacturers associated to them towards subs in this way. It is little disturbing... Fortunately old human invention can cure that... It is named competition...

IKM group buy is really worth to join unless you already have most of their stuff... About amps sim many times it is important to setup input gain before plugin properly (which often means differently for plugins from different manufacturers). Especially PA sims are very 'sensitive' for input and it is game changer in sound ). If you need to test sound not having guitar stuff you could use any raw guitar track (and adjust gain if needed) from any multitracks. Or sometimes it is even useful for quick shot using guitar VSTi for that.
