    PA Ends Pick Pack

I'm sure it'll be a subscription since Dirk wrote "we are about to launch a totally new system, which will enable each and everyone of you out there to USE large numbers of our titles at really affordable pricing!". Note that he did not wrote "...to BUY a large number of our titles..." I'm sad because I was also planning to get a pick pack as soon the new releases where all announced. I'm also sure that I'll NEVER pay for any software subscription, unless I can keep the software after some time. I guess I'll have to live with what I already have and, maybe, buy some new PA plugs if the coupom/promo sales are kept and the bargain prices still come from time to time.
  2. Hummm... I can think of some... *cough*... Arturia... *cough*... counter examples 🙂
  3. Don't forget to check your plugin list with attached special offers for other great deals during this sale 😀
  4. I'm tempted by Phil's Cascade for $29 bucks. But I already have all the other plugins in the PA's "Tone/Character" section (HG-2, Refinement, Saturator, Karacter... etc). I feel I'd be getting it more to 'complete the collection' than any better reason. Maybe I should get bx_Subsynth for $9 instead. I'd spend less and would get a different kind of processor (although I also have similar plugins from Waves f.i. but, from what I read, PA's approach to bass enhancement is more sophisticated). This whole plugin thing is becoming silly 😕
  5. Here's a side by side feature list: https://support.plugin-alliance.com/support/solutions/articles/24000035984-feature-comparison-between-dearvr-music-and-dearvr-pro
  6. I got the collection for $53. Had 25 credits in the Custom Shop and bought 75 additional credits with a $22 (jam points) discount. I guess I'll not see a better deal than this for the collection for some time.

    PSPaudioware

The PSP products that would interest me more, their modules for the Cherry Audio's modular synthesizer, are not part of this promo 😕
  8. VST Buzz has a lot of great softsynth synth offers but looking in the Plugin Boutique deals I found these other two that IMO are cheap and interesting: The Solino String Proto Ensemble MK 1 for $8 https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/55-Kontakt-Instrument/787-The-Solino-String-Proto-Ensemble-MK-1 Stagecraft Theremin for $10 https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/5452-Theremin Unfortunately I could not find any demos for the last but for Solino there are a couple of youtube videos:
  9. Nice to see you in the forum. Personally I usually prefer emulations or pure algorithmic code in softsynths but, if one is looking for realistic renderings of acoustic or electro-acoustic instruments, samples are the way to go. And you did a GREAT job with Bass Fingers. PS: Your 'Theme from Planet Codex' totally sold me this other great Waves synth that, together with Element and Flow Motion, are among my favorites.
  10. Modo Bass is 5x more expensive right now. It's in my shopping list since it was released but never saw it for a decent price. Also, WUP is not mandatory. I'll stick with Waves by now.
  11. Plugin Boutique's Virtual CZ for €26. Never saw it at such low price. It looks like a good (and cheap) alternative to the new Arturia's CZ-V. Also, this Esper 'Vangelis-esque' library looks nice for €4. You'll have to layer this sounds way in the background of your mix, though, otherwise the temptation to push the 'Next' button in the player will be almost irresistible for your audience.

    NoiseAsh Need 31102

Tough question.... Do I REALLY..... Need 31102 Eqs... Or can I go with the other 31101 I already have 😀
  13. I'm sure Inspire contains Pianos & Keys. I had that collection before upgrading to Inspire and after that the P&K license disappeared from my account. I upgraded in hope that all new Waves instruments would be included in this collection for free or, at least, for a small amount. Bass Fingers is the first new instrument since then and it was indeed included. Also, when I upgraded I brought all my v9 instruments to v10. In short, I think the Inspire collection is worth having but, as with all Waves plugs, it'll be wise to wait for a good sale to get it.
  14. Got it free as I own the Inspire instrument collection 🙂

    PA days 11-12

I got Fiedler Stage for $29. Not sure if I'll use it a lot but I read so much good comments about it that I couldn't resist.
  16. Zo, is this the plugin you said you're beta testing and we should be saving for?
  17. There are indeed some items in the APD shop that I'm interested but not right now. Also, I saw all the entire APD video presentation for this synth and didn't find it interesting enough. My thinking is: it's just $15 but if I skip some of this (IMO) less interesting plugins I can add enough to get a more expensive and (again IMO) more interesting or usefull one for just a bit more. YMMV.
  18. As Mr. Data I was tempted to buy this one for 0.68 seconds (well... maybe a little more ) but I bravely resisted 🙂. I'll consider this as the same as a $15 discount on my next purchase.
  19. Iron looks great but buying any PA plugin for more than 70 bucks is a bit dumb if you have the Pickpak option available.
  20. Ditto. I'm in Live 9 standard and I think that the new features still don't justify the upgrade price. Maybe for half that I'd be tempted but, for now, I'll wait for the next big release. Also I hate the fact that I cannot run plugins that require Max for Live. They should put a "Player" version or so as default, even for the Intro version. I've seen many plugins that require Max that I'd have bought otherwise.
  21. https://www.ghosthack.de/ultimate-midi-collection/ 7€ for the next 21h Content 50 Arp MIDI Files 50 Bass MIDI Files 50 Melody MIDI Files 50 Chord MIDI Files Total: 200 MIDI Files
  22. JRR definitely needs a better web server 😕
  23. As the title says. When I log in get a blank page. Anyone can confirm this? Edith: I sent them a message questioning about this.
  24. RX6 Elements has a plugin called "Voice De-Noise" that do what you're describing but is geared towards voice recordings (dialogue). To have the same functionality on a full spectrum recording I guess we'll need the RX Standard version at least.
  25. I have RX Elements 6. Any reason to "upgrade" (aka "buy again" in iZotope's lingo) to v7?
