WOW! Thanks for the replies. I was able to move the section and then was able to move other sections in the other tracks to line up better. Sounds much better!

I would love to read the relative information for a particular problem as I have done in the past. In my case I don't know what to ask. Hopefully there is a screen shot of what I want to do. On the purple track at the left side I want to move the first two sections to the right to line them up with the tracks above. I hope that makes sense

I want to move part of one of the audio files. How do I ask the question to get help with a tutorial? I found out how to cut a section out of the track but can't get to a tutorial that says how to move just part of a track. Thanks

Thank You! Works Just like you said.

I want to import a WAV file I click on File and go down the menu. Import and Export choices are not there. What happened! Thanks

Thanks you Andres! Either I didn't see the box for "not linked" or didn't know what that was for. Works great!

I duplicated an audio track and I want to transpose the duplicated track. So I followed the instructions of transposing. Select the track to transpose. Go down two semitones. Hit okay. It transposes okay, but does both tracks. How do I transpose just the duplicated track? Thanks

Hello Supa Reels, Dean here. I don't know how my name got attached to the message from 1/7/2023. I think that should be credited to FreeEarCandy not me. i am not that qualified to make those kind of recommendations. I just really enjoyed, and still do , like How It Used To Be!

File Has Several Record 1 Listings Like Individual Files

Thanks! I wasn't sure how to ask the question for using support. So that is why I asked the question. I wanted to use Piano Roll for editing and I need one file or clip to do that. -
I have a file that seams to be made up of several individual files that say "Record 1". The file plays okay all the way through. Is there a way to make it one file or is that necessary. Thanks

While perusing through the "Songs" I ran across this one. Wonderful!!

Thank you thank you. It helps to read the whole answer and follow instructions.

I imported this song and when I play it the sound meters go up and down but no sound. I have tried the different settings combinations. 4-Focusrite USB MIDI, All Inputs, UM-ONE, 1-4 Focusrite USB MIDI. Any advice please.

Thank you! I learned some more today. A long way to go.

Thank you stepd. I learned something new. Whew!!

I recorded this song and have been playing it many times. Now when I open it up and hit play I get this message. "Unable to create new audio file for recording". Did I click on something I wasn't suppose to? Thanks
-
Do I need to mark this resolved? If so how do I do that.
-
Thanks for the reply! I think I might keep them separate for reasons you suggested. Maybe make copies and deal with them so I don't totally mess things up.

So I was able to find the slide out thank you. I was able to get both tracks one orange and one green from the white notes. So is there a way to combine the two tracks into one or do I not want to do that. Both play at the same time so that is okay?
-
Simple as that. Thanks!

The electricity got turned off for a minute. When I turned the computer back on to Cakewalk and selected a song I got this message. What do I do now? Thanks
-
Thanks for the replies! I will work on that.

I recorded one track and then I recorded another track while listening to the first track. When I try to view the tracks with piano roll I get this. Hopefully a screen shot. And it doesn't select all the sounds. Just apparently one track. I'm not even sure how to ask this. The screen shot on the right is how I recorded the tracks and the one on the left is what I get with piano roll. But it doesn't change all the sounds to orange.

Enjoyed the song very much! Being new to this Cakewalk thing I am amazed when someone does a song well coordinated or put together I guess I am trying to say. A fellow Portlander. Where is that rain?
