  1. You get 2 FREEBIES when you register: RP-Amod and Prisma. Also, RP-Pan was free at BestService. (I had this one already though.)
  2. Ditto! Support said there are "no fixed rules, however, here you go". 🤷‍♂️ Thanks UAD!
  3. @PavlovsCat For the record, I'm not looking for a "convincing guitar" sound out of this but something to quickly get an interesting part down. As @Fleer pointed out, it's got a synthy feel to it which is OK. I remember first playing with the CM version and how quickly I was able to put down a part I liked on the song I was working on. So really, it's about different flavors and workflow. If I want a convincing guitar part, I've got a couple of the plugins you mentioned and could put the time into learning them. Or I could try and muddle it out myself. Or better yet, phone a friend!
  4. What other RP plugins do you have and like?
  5. Thanks to Music Software Deals, it's still at KVR for $19! https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/?sort_by=price_asc&jsf=jet-engine:main&tax=manufacturers:129 https://www.kvraudio.com/marketplace/rg---rhythm-guitar-by-rob-papen I got mine at Best Service this morning! Thanks @Walter Cruz!
  6. Sort of related to this Pultec sale: I have a question for those of you familiar with UAD. I see the Pultec is part of the Heritage plugins that come with an Apollo interface. 1. Does UAD always package those plugins with their audio interfaces? 2. Do UAD audio interfaces ever go on sale, like Black Friday or Xmas? This is the one I'm researching and wondering about: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ApolloTDusbHE--universal-audio-apollo-twin-usb-duo-heritage-edition-10x6-usb-audio-interface-with-uad-dsp
  7. Thanks! I was looking at this because there was a Muted Guitar (I think) by Rob Papen in the Computer Music freebies that was actually pretty good and it put this dev on my radar. I listened to the demos on this and am sold. It will definitely be fun to play around with.
  8. No, THAT's how you create customer loyalty... 😎
  9. @cclarry Heads up, the codes are unique. I was just going to post this. I don't think I've even used the 20% Gems Discount either because prices remain too high and IIRC they don't stack coupons. Can't hurt to look tho...
  10. Not in the cart either. But I'll email support. Why not for a $14 Pultec from UAD??
  11. Not here. I got the API and got one. Then I used that one to get the DBX and haven't received anything. Maybe it needs a minimum spend on a purchase?
  12. I can't even beat you to posting an update. I just noticed this last night. The Tuner is updated too!
  13. PS. As was said the last time around, the $50 coupon is good for anything over $89 bucks!
  14. You got 2 $25 thank you's? I was wondering the same thing. Do they give just 1 per month?
  15. I don't know about that, but when I upgraded to MPS5, they said "and you get 2 new advanced plugins free when they are released in the Fall". I think Lars surmised that they were Ozone 10 Advanced and RX 10 Advanced. So I jumped on it. When it came out, they only gave out Ozone 10 Standard and I emailed support and they upgraded to advanced. My experience with Izotope is that they stand behind their products and promises, even if their accounting is a mess.
  16. That's a great price! I've had it awhile but use it a lot less than I thought. Don't get me wrong, it's interesting and fine, but more geared towards creative music making than mixing IMHO. When I'm mixing and need FX, I generally have an idea of what I want. So pulling this up to try out random sounds derails the workflow and sends me down the rabbit hole. So for music making, yes. Mixing, sounds fine, but kind of random for getting a specific sound. I need to spend more time with it. I like it well enough though that I picked up Neo when it was on sale a while back.
  17. Didn't you get them with MPS6??
  18. I think it was $39 at VST Buzz (not sure) but I've seen it for $29 since. The Music Software Deals site will tell all... 😉 https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/?sort_by=price_asc
  19. Ya, hopefully they'll get it sorted. I've been getting a bunch of time-out and could not errors...
  20. @El Diablo They get good reviews, but are typically too $$ for me. However, I picked up Echorec on sale a couple of years ago and love it. I use it all the time.
  21. Now that UAD is making their plugins available to users without their audio interfaces (Native plugins), I'm betting they are very pleasantly surprised with these recent sales. On a personal note, I'm worried because I've been able to ignore UAD plugins up to this point....
  22. Be sure and check @Chandler's YouTube videos for tips on anything Melda, including MGA. Here's just one of them...
  23. I use MixBox more than Amplitube because of ease of use and it's more light weight. I also like that we can use FX in there besides just EQ and dynamics like PSP. But PSP Infinistrip is pretty awesome too. Total no-brainer on this deal if you don't have it! 👍
  24. [rant on] I really wish plugin manufacturers would add modern settings like M/S, Dry/Wet Mix, Input/Output, etc. to every plugin these days. Much like Plugin Alliance does with their Toolbar thing. There's really no excuse, especially with these big manufacturers. A plugin of modeled hardware is great, but why not modernize it with features that every plugin should have available now?? I mean, come on, they obviously know how to do these things. [/rant off] That said, I put Blue Cat's Gain Suite plugin on either side of this last night to dial in the input/output level, and as @MusicMan said, it makes quite a difference. I didn't like driving this hard on this particular drum bus, but really liked what it did with the transients when I was just nudging the meter a little bit and blended it in. I typically hit the Waves version harder on my parallel drum bus. But each song is different, right? 🙂
