  1. Yes, I found it less stable than Vegas.
  2. Have you tried DaVinci? I know some people get on well with that. My experience with Vegas is that is doesn't play well with 3rd party plugins. If you have tried scanning a folder with VSTs or audio plugins, that may be what is causing it to crash. The experience I had was that I included my DAW VST folders in the Vegas plugin scan and it completely *****ed up some of the VSTs - I had to spend most of a week figuring out which VSTs had been effected, uninstall them, and reinstall them. I learned my lesson the hard way. Now, I keep my plugins to a minimum when using Vegas, and I do any audio processing outside of Vegas, not inside. I guess it's the age old problem of using your laptop for multi-tasking. You should really have a machine dedicated for Audio, another for Video, and another for internet - but we can't afford to fill our houses with laptops, can we?
  3. One little trick I learned for Vegas is, before rendering, collapse (minimize) all the tracks and close all windows (preview, plugin, FX etc..). Then render. It cuts rendering time in half.... sometimes even more. Hope this helps
  4. Simeon - you're a bit off in this video. What's up man? You seem flustered.
  5. I'll give it a go. I mix on headphones, so I often get the bass wrong. Cheers 👍
  6. Thanks wookiee, I'm mastering using Ozone Standard, and trying to EQ match it to other tracks in the EP, that may have coloured the sound too much. The rumble is intentional - I like using atmospheric sounds, but perhaps it goes on too long - I'll go back to the master stage and see if I can shorten it. UPDATED TRACK NOW UP
  7. Track 4 of my upcoming Ep is now live - Sleeping Dogs Lie https://53mph.bandcamp.com/track/sleeping-dogs-lie A Dobro/piano end-of-evening chill-out track. I'm playing the Dobro and Slide, but I got to use a lot of new toys in this one - Trilian, Drum Fury, Iris 2, and the Kontakt 6 Library Ethereal Earth (nice). Hope you enjoy.
  8. Looking at the walkthrough on Bolder Sound and comparing the two, I'd say this one sounds better, more natural. Bolder Sound's too artificial to my ears. But then again, it could just be a matter of player ability. 🤷‍♂️ Bolder is a great little company though. I'm not bad mouthing them.
  9. I must admit, I hadn't noticed at first, but now you point it out, you have a point. 😕

    Piano Four-Two

Thanks Bjorn. I was aiming for an upbeat mood. Glad it got the mark. 👍

    Remote Viewing

....then my work here is done. 👍 As it is track 3 I want it to work like a passageway. Nothing too ambitious, so I'm happy with your reactions. Thanks
  12. Thanks for the advice. I cannot fix the mix that has gone to Spotify, but I can rework the Bandcamp version. In reply to your question, yes the pedal sound was intentional. I love all those creaks and groans from old pianos, and I want the listener to feel like they are in the pianist's seat, not in the audience. I understand that this may not be to everyone's taste, but I personally love those sounds. If the pedal is pumped just right, it ends up as accompaniment to the piece.

    Remote Viewing

Track 3 of my new EP is now available to listen to on Bandcamp as part of the Pre-order process. 'Remote Viewing' https://53mph.bandcamp.com/track/remote-viewing A piano piece enclosed in an ambient soundscape - think Sci-fi Yann Tiersen or Debussy on Bladerunner Hope you enjoy!

    Piano Four-Two

Track two 'Piano Four-Two' is now available as part of the Pre-release of my latest EP. This is a super up-beat piano track written in the spirit of re-starting after the....well, you know what I mean. Have a listen; hope you enjoy. https://53mph.bandcamp.com/track/piano-four-two
  15. Thanks Paul, Appreciate it. 🙏
  16. If you bought all my software, I'd probably throw in the house as a freebie. Not sure which has more value these days.
  17. I'll be releasing a new track and EP at the end of the month called 'I See Your Face Every Place I Go', but for those of you wishing to get in an early listen, I've set up my first ever Pre-ordering-thang on Bandcamp where you can stream the title track. So if you're interested, head over to the bandcamp page here: https://53mph.bandcamp.com/album/i-see-your-face-every-place-i-go It will also be going live on all streaming platforms by the end of the month. All support appreciated. It's what keeps me going.
  18. One good reason to upgrade to Kontakt 6 full is that you'll be able to use the libraries on Pianobook (the personal site of Spitfire Audio's Christian Henson). I've just started using the Family Grand recorded using a binaural stereo mic. I got it a year ago but had been unable to use it until upgrading. A really nice surprise, especially if you want to capture that 'home piano' sound. 👍
  19. Just watched the YouTube clip... Anyone else find the Pat AI creepy as *****? 😳 First impressions from the YouTube clip. It's an approximation of Bittersweet symphony, but the more intricate parts show off its weakness.
  20. I painted the interior and exterior of my house. 😉
  21. Kontakt 6 upgrade for 50 Euro? I hesitated for a day.
  22. Deleted message. I figured out that Aquarius is just another download portal.
