It's wired. My wife's keyboard works. Never had this happen before. Guess it's time for a trip to the store.

This is a strange problem. Today, I can't use 5 and 6 are the only numbers working on my computer keyboard, including all of the special characters related to the numbers that I can't use. I have no idea what's going on. Everything was working yesterday. I could do a system restore, but I just can't figure out what's up. Had the hardest time logging in because I use those characters in my password. I ended up using the on-screen keyboard. Any ideas? Thanks ... no exclamation marks b/c it doesn't work. I can't do smiley's either.

My daughter watched the star wars movies too quickly i think. She was vaguely interested but not how i expected.

People trust open source because anyone can read the code. Might be safe. Might not be. But it is at least public.

For some reason, some people sell a a special chip. I could be wrong, but it may be it's only settings loaded. haha Any version of the FCB 1010 will do I think. I'm not sure it matters. I could be wrong here. I got mine used on Craig's list. Since I turned on a friend. He borrowed mine for a 6 months and the got his own when I stole mine back. To load these settings, 1. plug in the midi input only 2. turn off the fcb 1010, step on the down pedal and hold it down when you turn it on. 3. switch it to the input setting. 4. click send from the app you've opened my settings into 5. step on the down pedal for a few seconds and it will count down from 10 or so. 6. Turn it off and back on. >> have fun! Next... 1. open th3 2. map the stomps and expression pedals to anything you like.

Pan rules on cakewalk are different for mono and stereo tracks. But, in my example, i took themono track to stereo when i added breverb. Then, using channel tools i sum to mono and see a 3 db gain as expected. When using interleave to sum to mono, you can see it is still after the addition of breverb, but it does not add 3db. Only cakewalk knows for sure, but my guess is they are reducing by 3db after summing to hide this complexity on a mono track. Could be another reason... Idk. Linux DAWs like mixbus show you when your mono shifts to stereo with little lines between the vsts. In cakewalk, it isn't obvious. Mostly, i don't care and feel in control.

So glad I'm not the only one with feedback issues.

I love mine. The key to success for me was the app for programming it. It is a little weird. I can send you the settings i use so you can import them if you want. I can give you lots of specifics if you want them but i tend to go overboard and give turn by turn directions when the person only wants me to point. Basically, it is dead useful. Works as 100 stomp box controls and 20 expression pedals. I've also set it up to play evolving bass synth notes. Sometimes i set it to notes in a key, sometimes chromatic. Takes about 15 seconds to load different setups if you use the little app. There are some things i have to relearn time to time. Like, to load from the app, only the midi input can be connected for some reason. I mainly use it with th3 as a pedal board. I also have a reamp box. This means i can use the th3 stomp boxes but my amp. I do end up with a lot of cords on the floor. While you can control a host of things with it, i tend not to. I'll have one bank to control the th3 Looper, guitar bank and sound next and previous and output volume. Anther bank or two for expressions and stomps. That's only 3 of 10.... But i tend not to remember more than that. Th3 let's you map things so when you change guitar sounds your reverb stomp now powers that reverb in that sound even if it isn't the same one. That way you only have to remember which stomp toggles reverb.

Shift+L turns selection into looped region. L by itself toggles whether the looped region is enabled. Ctrl+L turns a selected clip into a loop you can stretch.

Check the application event log in widows. Right click computer and open computer management then drill into the logs. Check for errors in the system log. Then in the application log around the time the app disappears.

I believe if you have a stereo track that is mono... Add effect that outputs to stereo... Click interleave to mono... Your volume will increase 3 dB. I tend to use the interleave button to do a mono check, but i don't use it normally. By this i mean to see what a mix sounds like in mono.

Most tracks in cakewalk output in stereo unless interleave is set to mono. This is fine. The same thing in both channels is equivalent to mono. Most vst fx can process in stereo. You want this. I don't think this is your problem. Remember you can use the vector scope to see whether your single track is in mono or is stereo. The same signal in left and right get a vertical line. If you get fuzz in the scope then your left right output are not identical. When not identical and you think it should be, try to answer why.

Basically, the way these things usually work, is... First they take a stereo input... a line from the top right corner to the bottom left corner is panned all the way right. a straight line going from the top left corner to bottom right is signal panned right. You can test this by playing with what you feed into the meter. Mono signal is a vertical line. This would be the same identical signal in both channels. If you take a signal and send it to the left channel and the inverted to the left channel then you get a horizontal line. The horizontal line is phazy and will cancel if you switch the stereo to mono. Most of the time you get signal that is mostly up and down the vertical with some going left and right. If your music looks like an hour-glass, you have little phase issues. if it looks like a ball of steel wool, you're dancing with danger. the more you have to right and left of center in the middle, the less phase correlation. Usually this meter comes with a phase correlation level. If you watch movies while watching the meter, the tense scenes can have pretty phasy sound. idk if phasy's a word. don't laugh at me. I'm just learning too.

Do you have any heat issues with them stacked up like that? This is in my compressor's manual... The 162SL requires a two rack-space height (3.5 inches) and a standard 19 inch rack-space width. It can be mounted above or below (leaving 1U of space above and below the unit) anything that doesn’t create excessive heat. This is to ensure proper ventilation. Ambient temperatures should not exceed 113°F (45°C) when equipment is powered.
