  1. I just checked again and you have to stay on the page for a certain amount of time before the popup appears. 15% off would make it a little over $21.
  2. As I scrolled to the bottom of the page, a popup window appeared that allows you to take 15% off!!!
  3. Low budget winners would be Addictive Keys and Sonivox Eighty-Eight. The Sonivox is pretty CPU hungry depending on how many features are turned on all at once.
  4. You can relocate the libraries to another location and use Kontakt 6 to find the new location. Then you can safely uninstall Kontakt 5. I always install any Kontakt libraries to my sample drive. That way the libraries are more efficient and safe from being uninstalled by mistake. There are a few tutorials to show you how to move the libraries if you need.
  5. As long as your libraries are not installed inside of Kontakt 5, you can remove it with no problems.
  6. I have used nothing but TX for years!! Has been rock solid but there is a very steep GUI learning curve involved. There was a good number tutorial videos on YouTube for it. I highly recommend if you are interested in sculpting instruments from scratch.!!!
  7. I had to use Waldorfs customer support because it had been a week since I got it thru APD. Still had not received the confirmation email with the links and code even though my account was successfully setup. I received an email in a matter of hours and finally got the synths.
  8. Thanks!!! I feel a little better knowing that the lost buffers are far below the danger zone. BTW, I noticed the buffers are showing loss during the playback! Not just at the end as stated.
  9. Hi, guys And gals. I have been working on a project of my own and I am using 7 or 8 vstis, oodles of console emulation, and your average number of eqs and compressors. As well as audio tracks along with them. Also about 7 vox tracks and a couple of guitar tracks. I have been able to get my latency down to 96 samples in ASIO!!!! My question is simple. I am not experiencing any problems and have not the first crackle or pop during playback. I have noticed in the new feature analysis window after the song is over it reports 5 late buffers. Yet I am not hearing any artifacts whatsoever!! This brings to mind, how many buffers lost is acceptable and why do I not experience any trouble from these lost buffers? If someone could explain this I would love to hear it!!!!
  10. Could you give me the email address for Waldorf support? I can't get any luck with their message system.
  11. Welcome to the latency wars!! Look in Preferences and locate the slider to adjust latency. There is a button there to access the control panel for your audio drivers. You will spend a little time finding a setting that will get rid of those pesky crackles. The most aggravating process is having to cycle back and forth between setting the driver, applying the change, close the window! Doesn't work!!! Reopen the driver window and try again!!! Just because its crackling doesn't mean the magic setting couldn't be lower. There is a lot of trial and error here because you have no audio while the latency is being adjusted. Also, if you're using a semi pro to pro interface Cakewalk plays better with ASIO drivers. This should get you started! Happy troubleshooting and good luck!!!
  12. I ordered the free Waldorf the first day it was offered. I finally figured out how to get to the cart and submitted the code. I set up an account and have been waiting almost a full week for my verification email!!! How do I contact support at Waldorf? This seems very convoluted for a free plugin!!!!
  13. I am a stone cold fanatic about the use of dynamics in music. Most of my compositions are chock full of them. While my songs are mainly classic rock, jazz, blues, ballads, etc., I have found it helps immensely. Otherwise, the mastering I do for my clients is another story! They just want it body slammed to the nth degree. I do encourage anyone to at least give it an honest try. There is tons of info and some good freebie plugins for K-style mastering for anyone out there. Thanks for asking.
  14. Just curious! I have found myself relying on K-14 and wondered how many would pound me for doing so. (Visions of the old Karloff Frankenstein scene where the villagers are chasing him down the road with torches and pitchforks!!!!!!😎
  15. Still gets a lot of use even after the release of collection 2!!!
  16. Just my opinion, you will be much better off learning to master yourself. It does take dedication to be a great mastering engineer but much voodoo has been spread across the industry that scares most of us to death about how difficult it is!! If you have a good eq, compressor and or limiter, and a decent pair of monitors, you can do the job!! Online mastering can deliver a master but I trust my judgment and ears more than an online computer algorithm to deliver what I want to hear. Just remember that online services have their own levels they prefer to use. Make sure you find out their limits and master to that and you will probably be much happier!!!
  17. I have used Notion and Cakewalk for a long, long time and been very happy. I wish Cake bakers would have figured out a way to purchase Notion when it was sold off a while ago. To think that they might have been able to incorporate Notion into Cakewalk to replace the sad notation feature it has limped along with for all this time.
  18. I looked for the regular version update and couldn't find one. I like the regular version enough to keep updating it. Otherwise, I would have to pay the full price which is a considerable bit higher than what I pay to upgrade. The midi is still far from where it needs to be and with NO notation I just can't invest in 32c.
  19. Is there any update for the regular version of Mixbus 5 to 6 or is this only 32c?
  20. Should locate the folder in Edit-Preferences-File-Folder Locations.
