I want to do this because when I pin this often-used folder to Quick Access, I can't change the pinned name, which is "user". There are many CW folders that we can move around, in PREFERENCES-FILE-FOLDER LOCATIONS we can change names of some folders and move others to different locations. I actually got it to say Cakewalk Workspaces in the pinned folders (Quick Access) but now I don't know how I got it to work. I bet there's a way, I just don't know what it is. UPDATE: I figured out how to do it: 1. Go to App Data=Roaming-Cakewalk-Cakewalk Core-Lenses. 2. Make a shortcut from the Lenses-User folder on to the desktop. Change this shortcut name to Cakewalk Workspaces. 3. Drag this short cut to the pinned folder on the Explorer folder icon on the taskbar. 4. Move it up or down within the list under Quick Access if you like folders in a certain order. Now, the real folder "user", has the name that CW needs to function, but the name in the pinned list is "Cakewalk Workspaces". That's how to do it without confusing Cakewalk.

The default name of the folder is "user". If I change the name to "Cakewalk Workspaces" Cakewalk won't recognize the location of my custom workspaces. I want to change the name so that when I use Quick Access in Windows I see "Cakewalk Workspaces" rather than "user". It worked before but now I cannot get it to work. I went into the Registry (I'm fairly familiar with it) to seek out where Cakewalk defines the location for user-created workspaces but cannot find it. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks, Jerry

Not exactly a pun, but: A guitarist and his wife did not get along well at all. One night, after he had been drinking heavily, she grabbed one of his guitars and hit him over the head. Next, she took his other guitar and whacked him again so hard that he died. But a neighbor heard the commotion and called the police. They came to the house and arrested her. Hi All, My 11 year old CD player died and I have an issue. I have the Argosy Halo desk that has racks on it but the racks are slanted about 50 degrees. The CD player that died had a tray-loading mechanism that was slanted and sometimes the disc wouldn't play without skipping. I am not sure if it was because of the tilt or the fact that the player was old. Does anyone have an experience using a CD player on a tilt? Is slot-loading better than tray loading? Thanks! Jerry

I try to achieve a sense of intention and humanness through rhythmic syncopation, tempo variations and always paying attention to strong and weak beats. This approach may not be within your tastes. I don't use the bundle feature. I back up the .cwp file in 3 places: on a second internal hard drive, on a flash drive and uploaded to my server. I backup all audio for a project to another internal hard drive, to a DVD that goes into a safety deposit box offsite and to a flash drive. When I finish an entire album, I make at least 2 masters and one goes into the offsite safety deposit box. Offsite backup is always a good idea in case of fire, flood earthquake, nuclear war, alien invasion or asteroid strike. 😁 Studies have revealed that most accidents occur within 2 miles from home, so it's also a good idea to move every year or two 😜
