I agree it's wanting a lead instrument of some kind, at some point. Did you knock down the fingersqueaks? Is so, you might let a little more back in? It's quirky and I wanted to hate it but . . . I just couldn't. It's simple, yet inventive. Mixwise you might look at how much the organ patch is masking the vocal. I couldn't hear all the lyrics - you might selectively drop volume on the organ patch when you have lyrics. Your organ is panned which also moves the listening target away from the vocal? I dunno. The organ might sit better in the mix if it has a fixed pan position and it wouldn't mask the vocal as much? Your reverb on the vocal is returning maybe more high end than it could, it makes the vocal a bit ringy. My .02 cents, probably all just fake news, so nevermind. cheers, -Tom

Forgive me, Father Bapu, it's been 9 days since I've bought anything musically related. My new year's resolution standing strong, 9 days in.

Congrats on following my time-tested method . . . the strategic placement of clutter to enhance wave dispersion. I looked at your pics and I think the wall behind your main desk is still blank and too reflective. Who wants to help him pull down that monitor bridge, hang up a curtain or better yet a carpet with a cool design, and then put everything back up again??? You could also put it up kind of bunched on the wall, with a few intentional undulations, for better dispersal characteristics.

I love the concept but the more I want to say "ooooooh!" I end up saying "Aaaaaaaaaahhhh" no. It's just not flexible enough for what they are charging, in my useless opinion.

I read this as "McCartney ill" and was checking in to see if the Walrus was doing poorly. Assuming we can really know who wrote what in that excellent team, I would disagree respectfully, I think you don't have enough Lennon-only songs to stack up against Blackbird, Hey Jude, Yesterday, Let it Be, the Long and Winding Road, Eleanor Rigby, And I Love Her, I Saw Her Standing There, Eight Days a Week, I'll Follow the Sun, Drive My Car, Fool on the Hill, Back in the USSR, When I'm 64, a ton of the Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road ones, Penny Lane, and even some Wings songs like Let 'em In and that James Bond one. Michelle is I think brilliant from the standpoint of arrangement and chord structure, and it might be 20th on the list. You could maybe say that Lennon rocked a little harder and was less mindful of pop or jazz than Paul was. So Lars put up a bongos deal in Deals, and I diligently searched alternatives. Sort of like "The King's Microphones" only not.

1. Sounds great 2. I use it a lot 3. The developers seem very nice 4. There is a major hang-up trying to get it to consistently export the midi so you can edit in the DAW. Some days it will, some days it won't. This is a royal pain in the yarbles. 5. From a GUI color scheme standpoint, it's one of the best of all time! 6. In Kontakt you have to scroll up and down a lot because there is too much Drumvolution real estate for the Kontakt window to accommodate. Again, yarbles. It comes down to the sound, and for a fun electronic drum palette, it just sounds amazing. A bit like a wonderful old car that you love but you can't start it unless you pound on a specific spot on the dashboard.

I find the concept of this post offensive, and I think it should be deleted.

The song is nice and simple and heartfelt. Panning is great across the field. I'm wondering what that tiny little soft snare hit is adding? I think you could get rid of it. those people with younger ears could tell us what that harmonica is doing above 13kHz - my guess is, it's a bit strong up there, but it's just a guess because I cain't hear dat no more. nice one! cheers, -Tom
