  1. I think I already used it all. 🥴
  2. Dirty contacts in the keys. Loose wires. Dirty contacts on the plugs. Cracked speaker cone. Dirty potentiometers. Broken microphone diaphragm. Sunspots. Incorrect settings in your audio interface software. Microsoft. More information is needed. What audio interface are you using? What driver mode? What operating system? How is the keyboard connected? Which keyboard is it? Are all of your drivers up to date? What version of Cakewalk software are you on? How are you making sound? A software synthesizer? Which one? A MIDI sound module? Really, there are a ton of things that could make noise, so letting us all know what you know may help you.
  3. Thankfully, it's not my job, just a hobby.
  4. Not a dadgum thing. It's as if music doesn't exist, except in my head. Complete lack of any impetus to record or write a song. Or play an instrument. But I am attempting to grow watermelons. 😁
  5. Circa 1960. I'm the kid looking up at the MC. Moving right from there, brother Carl, Mom, brothers Steve and Mike.

    I need ASIO4ALL

ASIO4All is a wrapper. The RealTek ASIO driver is incompatible; better to use WASAPI if available. Using ASIO, you can only use one, so you can't use the interface for recording and the sound card for playback.
  8. Can't really 'like' this post. Stick with it, Bub. Once you've walked away from everything, it's hard to get it back.
  9. Try on the right in the browser. Make sure you have 'Browser' selected at the top under Views.
  10. Worked. I never cared for the beechwood flavor of Bud. Of all the beers I've had, I liked a German beer called Henninger the best. Perhaps because I grew up in Frankfurt where their brewery was located. Every year in elementary school, we took a field trip there and watched it being made. But it tasted good, too.
  11. That was one of my objectives when I retired in '19. Hasn't happened yet. Now I'm working again and have even less time, but possibly more inspiration, what with being out amongst the crowds.
  12. So, I guess the answer is no? 😀

    Zero Audio

That looks like a complicated set-up that's going to be fraught with problems. I know many people try to use what they have while looking for something better. I s the USB mic the only mic you have? You need one that will plug into an interface instead of the computer. And unplug the speakers from the headphone output and plug headphones in, if you have them. Electric or acoustic guitar? Do you have a guitar amp? You would probably get better results plugging an electric guitar straight into the Behringer. Make sure the outputs of the track are to a valid port. If the output reads 'HDMI' and you're listening to the RealTek HP out, you won't hear anything. It's a big program and can be complicated at first, and the set-up is often the hardest part, but you'll get there.
  15. Air fare alone will use up that $25,000.
  16. If it's a laptop, make sure the camera mic is off. Feedback, without knowing how you have everything connected and how you're recording, there's not much I can say except 'turn it down!' but you've already done that. Knowing what gear you use would help folks help you instead of asking you more questions. You can list it in your signature at the bottom, things like interface, operating system, model of computer and its specs (a short list), I have a relatively modest system that works well (and is ancient) so I don't have a lot of detail in mine, but any info you can provide there will enable fellow forumites to help you quicker. Do that under Profile. Good luck!
  17. Just for the record, whenever I hit the spacebar to start a song, you can see a MIDI 'hit' on every MIDI track, just a quick flash at the top of the meter in Console and Track views. Sometimes when using the mouse on the start/stop button. I don't hear it, though.
  18. Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, the state-of-the-art Behringer interface doesn't have a state-of-the-art audio driver. It uses ASIO4All, which is an older, less-capable driver and has nothing to do with ASIO except for the name. Your on-board sound card may have an ASIO driver, but it is just as bad, hence the "incompatible" warning. Maybe you can use one of the WASAPI modes, I don't have a Behringer to try. Maybe you can use ASIO4All. Some folks are able to get okay performance using it, but it's not optimum. I suggest saving up your pennies and buying a Focusrite.

  20. Yeah, short of selling a lung or kidney, employment was my only option. Well, I could have died, like the plant above, but I'm not ready for that. And I really didn't want to go back to work. Thankfully, my boss at work (or 'team lead' as they're called nowadays) says she will give me the schedule I want. We'll see. Gas prices have been declining here for the last 2 weeks, but still almost 3X what they were in October of 2020. I know they came down after the last big gas "crisis" circa 2004, but this may be a case of the oil companies wanting to get it while they can, what with all the talk of going electric everywhere. Thank goodness our gear is already electric! Sorry for this "Oh woe is me" post. Things are tough all over.
