  1. Right. I always put it in the F/X bin first, then adjust and process. But you don't have to process. I think these MIDI plug-ins use very little processing. Plus, I think the 'audition' button may use a different synth than the one you're playing, unless you set it up like you want first. The set-up details are in the signature part of your profile. Make sure to save!
  2. You might post a message in the Instruments and Effects forum referencing this thread. Good work!
  3. Cakewalk Template files are proprietary and probably can't be opened by any other software.
  4. There were a couple of glitches in the rendering. One patch name, a bass guitar patch, I think, appeared in several of the banks. The correct patch played, just the name was wrong. I corrected that using the published voice and bank list from Yamaha.
  5. Well, you could use 2 busses, one to your speaker output and the other to the HP output. Presumably, you won't be wearing the headphones while listening to the speakers. Both can be active then Solo the HP bus to listen to those, thus muting the speakers. Probably some Sends would be involved. Or Clone all the tracks with the clones going to the HP bus, for instance. Shoot, I vaguely remember several threads on this subject over the last 20 years, but I never had a need to do it, so 'vague' is my recollection. 😆
  6. Welcome to the forum. In the Staff view, you can get a quick look at errant sustains and drag the start or stop to where you want, depending on Snap settings.

    Panning not Panning

What are the pannings in all those take lanes?
  8. Welcome to the forum. Check that Cakewalk and the Spark amp are using the same sampling rate. And start saving your money for a better audio interface.
  9. Yeah, I found it. Haven't tried it. So Cakewalk doesn't copy to Windows, but to some internal space?
  10. Um, speaking of 'old memory', I'm certain I saw, somewhere, an option in Windows to save multiple items in the clipboard. Let me look around. On W10 here.
  11. Is that Shure SM7B a USB mic and are you using that to record? I'm pretty sure that's what "enregistrement" means, right?
  12. Right, it doesn't look 'strange' to me, just maybe not what you expected. Some of the notes and/or clips are selected, some not, some are ghosted as if they are notes from another track (you can have multiple tracks' notes at once in the PRV).
  13. As you no doubt know, audio will not travel through MIDI cables. The MIDI data is played through a synthesizer, in this case Studio Instrument Electric Piano. But that soft synth needs to play through your sound card or audio interface. What is the output listed for the soft synth? It should be whatever device you want to use for sound. If it's set to S/PDIF and you don't have anything connected to the S/PDIF output, you won't hear anything.
  14. VST 3 is newer, an updated version and format. 2 will continue to work as designed for most of us. You don't "need" both of them, but if you have a lot of projects using 2 and you delete it from your computer, things will happen.
  15. Saw a recent doc from Chrissy Hynde about her and her guitarist recording an album of Dylan covers while in lockdown. Long distance, international using the internet and phones to deliver tracks. Called Tomorrow is a Long Time, came out in '21. Not technical, since they both said they've never done that kind of thing before. DAWs were a mystery.
  16. Got the headphones yesterday. Feel good, sound good, well-built. How expensive do headphones have to be to not have a 1/8" plug with a 1/4" adapter? Not mentioned in the literature, not shown in the photos, but there nonetheless. At least it's screw on instead of push on. The MIDI cables were sent before the HPs but haven't gotten here yet.
  17. I've had my Miata since 2005 and it's been my daily driver. Had the timing belt replaced twice (due again now) and the transmission rebuilt, locked up brake caliper replaced, but other than that, it's been incredibly reliable. Now over 250,000 miles. It had 53,000 when I bought it from my SIL, the original owner.
  18. Good game, the team I wanted to lose, lost. One thing I've noticed about hockey and soccer; they would be just as exciting without the ball/puck. A bunch of folks running around or skating for 2 hours. YMMV. 😁
  19. Since you're using the onboard sound card, try plugging something into the mic input of the computer. Often, nothing will show up unless something is connected.
  20. My microwave oven has been acting up. No longer spinning and seems to have a mind of its own as to whether it's going to get hot. So I brought my even older one out of storage and cleaned it up. It was ~ 6 months old and gently used before going into the shed, so it cleaned up well. Works like a charm. Most noticeable difference? The beeper stops beeping when you open the door.
