  1. If you already have the synth inserted, you may be able to see if MIDI output is enabled (or not) by clicking the VST button in the synth GUI:
  2. I don't have Opus, and there are several ways to insert a synth. When using the method I like, Insert at the top, this box opens:
  3. See if "Enable MIDI Output" is set for the Opus instrument when you insert it.
  4. This indoor/outdoor bluetooth speaker was a prize on The Price Is Right this morning.
  5. Also, you can set the cursor where you want it and then go to the top, Project>Insert Time/Measures and select the amount you want to be inserted. Click Ok and all the tracks will move the desired amount.
  6. Here I created a bus, F, routed some audio to it, exported it.
  7. I'm pretty sure you can select which track or bus to export from.
  8. Welcome to the forum. What is that track's output set to?
  9. You can delete the question using Edit and backspacing/select>cut if you want to. Cakewalk uses the 'all knowledge is good' process and want to leave it all there for our posterity, the problems and solutions, even if the solution is "I watched a video". 😁
  10. Welcome to the forum. Can you describe how you're moving the notes, whether they're single notes or chords, notes from multiple tracks or single tracks, what software synthesizers you're using, if any, and what hardware you have making the sound. If you can let us know what your preferences are for playback and recording timing masters, that's good information.
  11. If the Master bus is the last stop of all tracks and busses before going to the Main output (Speaker), then it shouldn't matter. They should be identical.
  12. While the title of this forum is "Instruments and Effects", they're referring to software instruments and effects. Your best bet is to find a guitar makers forum and ask there. But, there are also a lot of guitarists here and you may hear from one of them. There is currently a guitar-building thread in the Coffee House forum here; maybe jump in over there.
  13. Plus, setting your car on fire will almost certainly attract the attention of the fire department.
  14. Is this near Woost... Woorste... Worchester?
  15. And from the opposite perspective, "Time Waits For No One". Same guys.
  16. I understand, a little. I'm still using SONAR Home Studio 6 for actual song recording on an old 32-bit XP machine. Ancient software, ancient hardware. But, I do have CbB installed on this computer and am learning it so when the time I must move to the new stuff I'm somewhat ready. No viruses so far. I'm just a hobbyist, and it's entirely possible that I'll never finish another song. The pressures of having to complete a musical project I haven't felt in more than 40 years. Thank goodness. Good luck!
  17. That's my last option. I'm not sure I can remake the sound on another vst so I want to know if there are some other solutions. I meant as the first step in troubleshooting. Does any VSTi work?
  18. But did you download the ASIO driver from the Steinberg link? RealTek ASIO won't work .
  19. Welcome to the forum. The "fuzzing" sound could be a trial VST effect or 1 that hasn't been authorized properly. Alternating speeds... I don't know. Possibly sampling rate. Would the 'Input Microphone' be a USB mic perhaps? Ensure that the sampling rate of the device and Cakewalk are the same. Are you using an audio interface of any kind? I think all of those effects are stereo effects and will process the incoming mono signal into a stereo track. Maybe. Anyway, if you could come back with some info on how you're recording and what equipment you're using to record, that will help.
  20. A free harpsichord VST? The first thing I would do is try a different VSTi and see if it works. I think Cakewalk by Bandlab has a couple of harpsichord sounds in its included soft synths.
  21. I have read in these forums that that is no longer necessary and may have never been necessary.
