  1. Bapu is at almost 94,000*! *He had his posts from the previous forum iteration carried over. I know, but he is The Bapu.
  2. Welcome. This forum is more for hanging out, shooting the breeze, making jokes. You can get program advice and musical advice here, too, but I would post those questions in the main Cakewalk by Bandlab help forum. There is also the Deals forum at the top of this page and the great plug-in thread in the Instruments and Effects forum. Good luck!
  3. And, they're in Atlantis!
  4. Is there any audio in the project when this happens?
  5. I just reread the OP and realize that my suggestions have nothing to do with having a count-in without recording. Sorry for the misdirect. 🥴
  6. Or Punch-in recording, which is what I should have written. Either will work.
  7. If he was on acid, he undoubtedly thought he was performing better.
  8. I would use Loop recording and start playback a few measures before the recording start time. You can have the metronome set or just listen to the drums (if any) in the project.
  9. Beat me to it while I was signing in. What does "ninguno" mean?
  10. "Blue Cheer". 😁 There's a name you don't hear much of nowadays.
  11. That's what I meant. "I can't hear a 'gap' in the melody between notes." That implied that the notes are sounding beyond the visible end of the notes , leading us all down the 'sustain/reverb/long release' road. 🙂 You can set the duration of each note so it ends early, which you probably already know. You can drag the right edge of the note in PRV to the left so it's shorter and leaves a gap. I believe with Last Touched selected, you can have a note value as a default for entering in the staff and PRV. Anyway, I think I understand what you mean now.
  12. Shoot, I wouldn't change them until you want to record something on that track. Unnecessary, time-consuming, potentially problem-causing. I don't want to spend time trying to find that phantom track that keeps making noise because the input is active while I'm trying to record something on a different track.
  13. Right. I should have written that. There are no 'rests' in the PRV. If you're hearing the note play past the visible end of the note it might be because the patch has a built-in reverb or maybe there is a sustain pedal event, which also wouldn't be visible in the PRV.
  14. .dmp files are not the lost projects. They are files of all the things that went wrong when the program crashed.
  15. I've never had to write rests in, they just appear when there is a gap between notes, either played or written, based on the Snap settings.
  16. Check the inputs of each track. I am in the habit of setting the inputs to 'None' after recording with both audio and MIDI tracks.
  17. What is the output of each track set to?
  18. Plus, you should have gotten a message long before the activation was done. I will get a message at least a week before the due date. Did you not get any prior warning?
  19. I just want to point out that that is a quote from the quote above by msmcleod I don't even know what those words mean! 😄
  20. Welcome to the forum. Is the Behringer driver even on the list or is it gone completely? Your post seems to indicate it is gone. If it's still listed but not selected, you need to deselect the RealTek ASIO driver first before you can select another driver. And you're right about being able to use only 1 ASIO driver at a time, a Steinberg limitation and that the RealTek driver isn't worth the bits it's written with. Good luck!
  21. I thought Bapu was making an appearance.
  22. Next will come the notices from our keyboard makers that the MIDI spec has been superseded by the MIDI 2.0 spec and the keyboards will no longer work. Get your 2.0 keyboards today! 😆
  23. I liked the 'the quick way out' cartoon.
