  1. Welcome to the forum. I think the point of opening the project in safe mode and adding the VSTs in to see which one is problematic, is to eliminate the problematic effect or instrument in favor of one that works well with CbB.
  2. I do use that method to record my keyboard's sounds, drums and other instruments. However, a soft synth will be much quicker in terms of getting the audio to the speakers. It is audio! 😁 If you took note of where the SS synth was downloaded, you will have to add that location to the Cakewalk VST scan list so it can find them.
  3. No, I record the drum MIDI in, all at the same time, drag each MIDI drum data line to its own MIDI track, then record the audio output from the module for each drum in turn to its own audio track. The drums are recorded live as MIDI , then recorded as audio afterward. Takes some time.
  4. I assume then that those are the sounds you want to use, not some software drum synthesizer. I also use my hardware sounds for drums and other instruments. I drag each drum instrument's note line (i.e., snare, high hat...) to a separate MIDI track, output to my hardware, then solo each instrument in turn, playing back and recording the hardware's output to an audio track. Bouncing a soft synth is a thousand times faster, though*. So, I end up with each drum on a separate audio track and each can be tweaked to your heart's content. *Using software synths, there is an option to have each drum's audio output on their own tracks, so you can bounce/freeze the tracks as desired.
  5. They may have seen an animal licking/eating the toad and saw its effects. There was a story on NPR a few years ago by a lady whose dog became addicted to those things.
  6. That's hard to say without knowing how you did it and what went wrong. There is an image there. It could be described as a snowman in a blizzard, but it's not a Cakewalk picture. How did you capture this image and what is it of?
  7. That is strange. When I mouse over where the image should be, I get the image search icon but there is nothing there.
  8. For TTS-1, select the patch in the Track Pane, not in the instrument. Welcome to the forum.

    Playback speed

I would record the met with the guitar, bounce that down to another track (so you're working on a copy), then Process>Length to about 125% or more on that bounced track. Mute the original tracks.
  10. On the bright side, you're living in France.
  11. How can you tell? The difference between 110 bpm and 112.4 is miniscule. Just for giggles, use your process to change the tempo from 110 to something like 88 and see if you can hear the change after the export.
  12. "Go to last post" sounds like it could be a modern Twilight Zone episode. Do I click on that or not?
  13. Welcome to the forum. Did you select an input in the track?
  14. I was able to use my video monitor's controls to increase the size of the display to 125%, making everything easier to read.
  15. There might be a clue in the name of the plug-in. 😁
  16. I don't know what he was going on about. I didn't ask about fixing a guitar but it was so off-key I had to give it a 'like'. I should have mentioned it's a 335 not a 339. It has the split-coils and the variety of tones are infinite, it seems. Playing through a Fender Mustang I modeling amp. Sounds pretty good unplugged, too.
  17. How and where are you setting the patches in CbB? If the patches are set in a software synthesizer, that won't translate into a MIDI file, I think. If the patches are set in the MIDI Track Pane and not in a soft synth, they will be saved and exported with a MIDI file.
  18. I resisted as long as I could. I haven't played enough in the last few years to justify getting another guitar. Then they put it on sale. $150 off.
  19. Seems as if he's a salesman for blue cat.
