I remember having to dig through trash cans to get my dose of pron when I was a kid. Nowadays, you just have to go online. Lazy brats.

Still haven't seen it. -
I believe the 'punch' you're seeing is for 'Punch-in recording'.

latency Extreme Lag/Latency Using Hardware Synth
57Gregy replied to Ratthew's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
How is the synth connected to the computer? Do you have an audio interface or are you using the computer sound card? What is a Minifuse? Did you try the other MIDI driver? There are 2, so whichever one you're using, switch it to the other one and see if the performance improves.- 19 replies

What sound card or audio interface are you using?

Welcome to the forum. When inserting a synth such as Session Drummer or True Pianos, ensure that the 'Enable MIDI Output' box is unchecked. Set all track inputs to 'None' unless it's the track you're recording /playing through. Those are the first things I would check.

I didn't do the math, but I read that if the world's population was condensed to the population density of New York City, they could all live in a space the size of Texas.

That's right. It's great that they're including WASAPI support and it works reasonably well, but I think it would be wrong to suggest to new users that they will be able to progress into the future of audio production without equipment that can perform at a higher level than the sound card in the computer can perform at. Which is why, I think, an ASIO sound device is still the recommended minimum. But even though I am 66 now, and somewhat dinosaurian, I can see a future where it won't be a requirement. I probably won't be there. 😁

You can often find pianos for free by people who are tired of moving them, don't play and inherited it, or abandoned in old houses. I started playing on my grandmother's Baldwin Hamilton upright grand. My current roommate has a Baldwin Acrosonic spinet. Wurlitzer is known for quality products, mostly, even in the lower price range. It looks good in the picture. If the price is acceptable and it plays well, I don't think you can do better.

Looks like your disc performance meter is 100%. That can't be good.
