  1. Sorry, not PACE but ILOK as referred to by Glenn Stanton.
  2. Some time ago I had problems with slow loading of Waves plugins and, if I remember correctly, I received a suggestion that for faster PACE should always be running. I did that and it fixed the lag. I don't know if that could be it. Perhaps a more updated version of PACE.
  3. I am experiencing lag and latency when using Melodyne 5 with the TRACK HOST TIME option turned on. Any correction/improvement suggestions?
  4. Thank you very much for your considerations. We have different views on the same operation and concept of "project integrity". Now that I understand that the application when importing video into a project only keeps a reference to its "physical" path in the file repository I chose and that, if it is deleted from there, it also disappears from the project, when it needs to work on the audio of a video and I want the video to still be referenced and visible, I myself will create the VIDEO folder inside the project folder, play the original video there and import from there. That simple. It is important to mention that, yes, the documentation makes the save note only by reference. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X3&language=3&help=Playback.41.html
  5. Thank you very much for your comments that allow me to better clarify my opinion. 1) I don't think Cakewalk should transform from a DAW to a Video Editor DAW. 2) No! It must remain as a DAW. 3) What I'm suggesting and I understand is that its "INTEGRITY" will be much better than the video, when imported to the project it will appear in a folder of the project itself. Just as it is today. Transferring the original to this folder (which I find much more efficient and smart) or copying it to this new folder. I ratify: I don't think Cakewalk should become a "hybrid" DAW, but that ONLY, you see, ONLY IMPORT or COPY the imported video in its original state into a project folder, not being "loose". I hope I made myself understood.
  6. I didn't mention saving the video inside the project, but in a specific folder that could be called VIDEO, when there is a video imported to the DAW. It seems to me that this should be completely transparent even for the DAW to preserve the integrity of the project. It does so with audios, Melodyne files, exported files. Why not do it also for the video that was imported when projected. Better than leaving it linked in a "lost" folder or at least asking the user when importing a video if they want to save it to the project folder. I think it would be a lot smarter and integrity for the project. As in the picture ????
  7. @msmcleod Thank you very much for the clarification that was the conclusion I came to. With these findings you don't agree that this is a DAW BUG which as far as I've looked in the documentation it's not clarified that this is the behavior of the functionality. I understand that, like the audios, the video should be preserved inside its own folder inside the project folder, just like the ones registered there.
  8. I describe an operation that I did that seems to be not being performed correctly. 1) I imported a video with an audio from the Downloads folder into a project, because I wanted to make some corrections to the audio in terms of compressors, etc. 2) I made the corrections, re-exported the video and saved it in a different folder than the folder I imported it from. 3) I deleted the original imported video from the downloadas folder. 4) When opening the project again and running with the video preview it no longer exists. What I see is a black window. Is it a Cakewalk error or something I missed when saving the project?
  9. Very good. I finally managed to understand this format. However, it is well to agree that this interface deserves a better approach so that, in fact, the user can more transparently and directly understand what, where and how he is assigning a certain keyboard shortcut.
  10. IMPROPER BEHAVIOR WITH THE BBC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - MIDI track is muted. - Keystation 49es keyboard command is executed, but no sound is heard. - Even putting it on the ground, you can't hear the sound. - When trying to delete tracks from the synthesizer the application gives CRASH
  11. @Morten Saether After executing the tasks, when passing the mouse over the Check image (green) we only receive the Tool Tip informing DONE. I would like this TOOL TIP message to have more information about the completion of execution like: Date, Time, Size of the generated file, etc.
  12. The track does not disappear. The PAN button is being changed.
  13. Thanks. But it's not a MIDI track. And, as I said, there is no automation.
  14. Thanks for the answer. Happens on ALL TRACKS. There is no AUTOMATION in the project.

    PAN AND RECALL MIX

I started to observe that the PAN of track 1 of my projects started to be changed from the center without any kind of command from me. At first I thought it might be something with my Nano Kontrol. I unplugged it and worked on some projects without it plugged in. The problem continued to happen, from what I observed by the execution/play of the projects. It is important to note that there is no automation track for the track's PAN and, even so, during play it keeps changing from the center where I want it to be. To overcome the problem I found that creating an automation track to keep the PAN always in the center would fix the problem. And indeed, it fixes it. But the variations keep happening and this has become a problem, because it interferes with the dynamics I want for the music. I also ended up saving a MIX with the PAN control in the center and found that MIX recovery doesn't work for track number 1. So I started with one problem and ended up finding another. What could I be doing wrong or what should I do so that the PAN remains in the position I placed it without being changed in Play?
  16. Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question very well. Come on ! When you use Mtuner as a MIDI output, it can be inserted as an input to a MIDI track. Just follow the steps I gave above. Recording on the track is done from there. Then, just edit the notes on the piano roll the same way you do with other MIDI instruments.
  17. This is another idea about the subject. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/47146-showhide-strips-and-groups-in-console-view/
  18. @Noel Borthwick @msmcleod I believe it would be very productive if in Console View we could also visualize the folders where the tracks are stored in a top line and, in addition, be able to VIEW/HIDE the tracks contained in each folder.
  19. My question is if there is any way to configure/parameterize the DAW's time position (red arrow) to be changed to the note's time position (black arrow) when it is marked for editing in the FX region. I want that, when I click on a note in the fx melodyne region, the tempo in the daw is also updated, that is: if I play the play it will be executed from the note that was being edited in the melodyne region.
  20. I'll try to simulate the error later, as this only happens when I leave the DAW loaded with an open project. I tried following the tips for configuring USB devices to allow Windows to turn them off, but not everyone has that option. My only 2 USB devices are my Keystation 49es keyboard and my old Tascam US 600 which is working perfectly.
  21. Another unidentified message. UNABLE TO FIND OR OPEN THE FILE Which file would it be?
  22. All these options are already configured and the error appears.
  23. This symptom of losing the connection to the MIDI device appears when I leave the project open on the computer for some time without use. When I try to use it again this error message appears. Until past versions the device name was named correctly. In this version it started to show the device name in a language other than the Portuguese I use. Could reinstalling the device driver fix the message?
