  1. I'm going to bump this just for the freebie. I think the reality is the voice can't be emulated well enough using samples. If you need it for some serious work just hire one. Many of them have the ability to record from home.
  2. It doesn't look like I can get anything cheap there.
  3. I want a real one. A strange as it is Balalaikas are banned in the US. It goes back to WWII when these instruments were used in protest songs against Stalin. Since they were our allies our country did it as a favor to Stalin. So far no US president has removed the ban probably because they are not aware of it.
  4. It's hard to buy anything. After Waves, IK, Melda, and the ones in most DAWs are great I have opened 90% of what I have.
  5. https://www.reviewgeek.com/104016/i-tried-to-beat-the-postal-service-now-my-pc-is-dead/ A mystery as to why this happened. Odd thing happened last night. I had a phone charger that doesn't seem to charge anymore. So I plugged it in to see if it would charge on my AMD system and I thought it killed it. No power on the board and I wondered what art got fried. Instead of taking everything apart and testing with spare parts I decided to try something simple like replacing the battery. It worked. Amazing how those little batteries are the cause and solutions. I was afraid to have to buy another board, CPU, and RAM. I can still build an AMD 6 core rig cheap but it's not cheap when you have to pay for it.
  6. I've used a separate email on my 3rd machine. I'm not ready to pay $$$ to adopt their player yet.
  7. Interesting they brought back the soundfont player. There were a few that wanted it. They do listen to their users.
  8. I found these listed under user banks.

    FL Studio

Bitwig is the Waves of DAWs. They have a WUP.

    FL Studio

Most likely. I'm a FL Studio fanboy. It does take a bit getting use to. The similarities to Reaper is it is often updated, the developers are involved in the forums. It's quite deep. I have their everything bundle. I finally started messing with their other synths and didn't realize they are all quite usable. It has the best piano roll out there. There is a course on Udemy that will take you from beginner to some advance things. If you don't like it right away you can always go back to it and never have to pay again. If you become broke you can always use Bandlab and FL Studio.
  11. These again are not showing up. They seem to have not the best way of distributing presets.
  12. I always download them just in case.
  13. It's a flooded market for me to consider it at that price. I'll add it when it becomes free.
  14. No. I had these from Sonr 2 to 5. They took up space. I had 2 copies of Sonar 2 Power.
  15. Mine is closer to something that also starts with S.
  16. Fixed for an attempt at a slight political jab.
  17. I put those Sonar Power books in the dumpster a few years ago. I would have parted with them on ebay for under $50.
  18. I guess their plugins are great but outside of that there is much to dislike such as their delivery system. I've heard more than once some of their stuff is not resource friendly.
